CHAPTER 6: THE CALL

INA'S POV

Kinabukasan, kinuwento ko kay Alex ang lahat ng nangyari kagabi nakinig naman siya kahit na parang halos hindi na niya ako maintindihan dahil sa paghikbi ko. Pagkatapos kong masabi lahat Saka niya ako pinayuhan habang hinagod niya ang likod ko.

"What you did is the right choice Michelle, its up to Darwin kung iiwasan ka ha niya or hindi kasi hindi mo naman ginusto na magkagusto siya sayo. But, on the other hand consider his feelings too. Tao lang din siya at natural lang na masaktan siya. Hayaan mo munang pahilumin nya yung sakit na nararamdaman niya ngayon. He also needs it." Sa sinabi niyang yun mas lalo lang akong napahikbi kasi feeling ko ang sama-sama ko nang tao.

"Shhh!! Tahan na Michelle dapat magaalmusal pa tayo kaso inubos mo sa kakaiyak mo.. hayy!! Dont be such a crybaby.. kumain na tayo malalate ka pa." Dugtong pa ni Alex.

Tumango na lang ako. Her advice to me somehow made me feel calm. After ng breakfast namin dumiretso ako sa office Pero parang wala akong ganang magtrabaho iniisip ko ngayon si Darwin hindi na kasi kami nagkausap pa kahit sa phone man lang. Kamusta na kaya siya?? I hope okay siya ngayon..

FAST FORWARD

naging busy kami for the whole 2 months. Sobtang hectic ng schedule ko para sa mga appointments ko. Malapit na ang valentines kaya maraming nagpapa-design ng kani-kanilang gown. May para sa kasal, engagement, at pati na rin ng mga artista. At sa loob ng 2 months na yun 3 beses lang nakatawag saakin si Darwin, saying that he is on a vacation somewhere in Spain kaya hinayaan ko na.

"Ms. Ina? About po sa meeting niyo this 3 pm. Pinapasabi po ng client if he can move it this lunch?" Tanong saakin ng secretary ko. Pinapalitan ko na si Alex kasi ginawa ko siyang head management ng isa sa department ko. Nung una tumutol siya kasi ok lang daw siya sa posisyon nya but I refused, pinilit pa siya ni mami phine Saka lang pumayag.

"Umm!! Its allright." I smiled to her while she's clearing my schedule.

"Wala ba akong pupuntahan this night?" I asked her naalala kong ngayong hapon ang dating ni Allison dito. She asked me to meet her and have a party tonight.

"There is none Ms. Ina. Since your 3 pm appointment was moved this lunch, you are free this afternoon till night. Anything Ms. Ina?" She answered.

"No that's all. Thank you."

After ng lunch ko na mas masasabi kong naging business lunch ay umalis na ako sa office. I promised to Allison to pick her at the airport. Alex was with me also since she's also a friend of mine and Alli.

Nakita namin na patakbong lumapit saamin si Alli.

"Hey I really miss you!!" Sabi ni Alli habang ang higpit ng yakap kay Alex.

Natatawang niyakap siya pabalik ni Alex.
"Should'nt you hugged me first?" I ask her pouting my lips that made her pinch my cheek.

"Yah!! It hurts!" Daing ko kasi parang nag eenjoy pa siya ehh..

"I miss you too sis. But syempre mas inuna ko si Alex kasi lagi naman po kitang ka video call noh!" Sabi pa niya with a roll eyes.

"Haha!! :) enough of that. Let's go?" Putol ni Alex saamin. Pumunta kami sa sasakyan namin while Alli is in the middle of us habang nakakabit ang kamay sa amin ni Alex. I really wondered kung paano nagkasundo tong dalawa. On our way out, ang daming napapalingon sa amin maybe because iba-iba kaming tatlo ng features ng mga mukha.

Alex has a foreign feature. Her deep set eyes that colored blue. Perfect nose shape and a heart shaped face. She looked sophisticated and mature maybe because she's 1 year ahead of us. Allison on the other hand has a chinky eyes, mother is a half korean while his father is a pure american. She also have a small lips that shaped heart when she pout. Hair hair also is a bit curly. Unlike Alex who has a long straight hair. While me? I have a round brown eyes. My nose is not that pointy. I have a fair skin. And my cheeks is already reddish. My hair is long that can reach my mid-back and its wavy.

Hinayaan na lang namin sila na tumitig wala na man kasing mawawala ehh.

As we continue the night. Pumunta kami sa bar, its a high class bar na hindi tulad sa ibang lugar na mausok, sobrang gulo, at madumi. Pumasok kami sa isang VIP room. Katapat ng room namin ang VVIP room. Maybe Actors or politicians ang nandun well I don't care. As our orders came nagulat ako na puro light drinks ang dala ng waiter. Its not that I want to be drunk Pero nag order kasi si Alli ng dalawang hard drinks.

"Uhhmm!! Excuse me you got the wrong room." I told him smiling.

"No ma'am I receive the right order it says VIP room 7. And he already paid for it." The waiter answered politely.

"Who's he?" I asked again kasi may nagbayad na daw?

"Im sorry ma'am but I cannot tell but if your not sure about the drinks I should take this back." Sabi niya habang kinukuha ulit ang mga drinks.

"No! Just leave it here thank you." Si Alli na ang sumagot.

"Hayaan mo na baka isa sa mga client mo na nakita tayo Kanina. Sige ka magtampo pa ang mga yon." Pangungunsinsya naman sakin ni Alli. After a few hours umalis na rin kami sa bar. Good thing light drinks lang ang nainom namin kasi sinong magdadrive pare-pareho kaming low tolerance pagdating sa alak.

Sa condo na kami dumeritsong tatlo kasi may isa pa naman kaming guest room. We said good night to each other. Kasalukuyan akong naliligo ng narinig kong nagri-ring ang cellphone ko. After 3 call natapos na din akong maligo. I decided to call the caller Pero nagring ulit yong phone ko. Hindi ko na nakita yung caller kasi busy ako sa paghahanap ng damit sa closet ko.

"Hello? This is Ina Michelle, how may I help you?" Magalang kong Tanong it must be important because its already past 10:30 in the evening.

"Ina? This is you mother." Para akong nabingi sa kabilang linya. It was my mother who called? Personally called? B-but why?

"Y-yes mom?" I asked her stummering.

"Dont you think its already time to come home?" She asked in a very sweet voice that I feel like shes choking me.

"W-what's the problem mom? I-im not sure if I can make it. You see im busy here." I reasoned out.

"We have to talk about some important matters here. And you are obliged to come." My mother answered.

"B-but-" I was cut off again.

"You are going home Ina and I will be expecting you to be here this month. Do you understand?" My mother said in a final and warning tone.

20 minutes nang naibaba ang tawag burning feel like hindi ko parin to mapaniwalaan. Am I ready to face them? did they miss me kaya pinapauwi nila ako? My conversation with Irene a few months ago flyed to my memory. They will call and its a bad news. Napapikit na lang ako ng mariin. Its been already 7 years yet she didn't asked me if im allright. I sighed heavily and decided to sleep.
