(Mars POV)

A dull throbbing pain in my head and a flurry of mixed, blurred colors, that was all I was met with when I opened my eyes.

Wait, I'm not dead. At that I sat straight up and immediately regretted it when I felt my wounded body scream in silent pain.

Looking down at myself I saw I was in a oversized bed in nothing but a pair of rather plain and slightly oversized black boxers and my arms, legs and torso wrapped in bandages with a few small red speckles of blood mixed in with the white bandages.

This confused me, I was alone in the forest a fair way away from any pack border or human towns. Who found me? Looking around I saw I was in a modern looking bedroom that confused me further.

"Artemis, you there?" I asked but no response came but I still felt her in the back of my mind, most likely healing as well

"Artemis, you there?" I asked but no response came but I still felt her in the back of my mind, most likely healing as well.

Deciding to get moving I slipped out of bed and stumbled a little on my legs but managed to maintained my balance.

Looking around the room I saw nothing to wear and elected to exit the bedroom in what I had on, better than nothing.

The bedroom exited into the end of a hallway with plain white walls and a polished board floor with several other doors along either side of the hallway.

The air held the strong smell of wolves making me even more cautious than I already was.

Slowly and as stealthily as I could manage I made my way down the hallway to the stairs at the end of the hallway while ignoring the dull ache of my injuries.

I stopped at the top of the staircase and listened for a moment and could faintly hear people moving around downstairs.

I waited a moment mulling over my options before I carefully started to descend the stairs into what I assumed was the houses lounge room at a cautious pace.
