Chapter 8: Mates First Outing

Hello, sorry for the delay on the new chapter but I hope you all enjoy and I will see you at the end. Also I am curious, does anyone read these little intro notes/greetings?

(Mars POV)

It has been a week since I had my 'interesting' morning with my two mates and I have healed notably since then. My wounds were starting to heal much faster now and I was progressively feeling less and less sleepy and becoming more energetic.

It is a nice change from how I have been in recent times and while I have enjoyed this time with my mates, I needed to get out of the house for a little while. Perhaps I could see if I can't spend time with Wilhelm or Mackenzie. Or my mates could possibly show me around the pack more, it would probably make them happy if I take some initiative in learning more than the basics about the pack.

I look up from my place on the couch, laying across my mates laps and tap Asphra's shoulder  catching her attention, I swiftly scribble my request on my notepad, 'Can we please go outside for a little while? I want to have a look around the pack.'

Asphra smiled after reading my note and I showed Esphra next who looked t her sister and nodded seemingly quite happy about my request, I guess they mindlinked each other.

Asphra looked down at me happily, seems I was right, "Of course we can go out." And with those words she scooped me up and set me on my feet off of the couch.

I smiled at the gesture and soon we we headed out of the door and we set off down the packs streets, Asphra and Esphra flanking my sides protectively. It was touching and sent a warm feeling flowing through my body.

We wandered at a fairly mild pace down the street and a few pack members smiled at us and a few gave friendly waves, I can only guess that the pack knows it has a luna now.

The people all seem quite friendly so far and my mates both look happy walking with me, I smiled and reached up and grabbed their large hands with my own smaller hands. They both grinned almost gleefully at this and looked similar to a pair of children who had just been rewarded with their favorite chocolate.

Soon we passed the hospital and as I remembered correctly we reached the training grounds soon after and as I gazed across it Mackenzie caught my eye and I noted she was overseeing sparing matches between a few wolves.

Looking over the wolves I saw Wilhelm sparing a wolf a solid foot taller than him, it was clear in an instant to me that he fought differently to the other wolves who seemed more formal in their fighting. Wilhelm launched himself at the other wolf and took a heavy punch to the gut but managed to wrapped his arms around the other wolfs neck and dragged them both to the ground with the bigger wolf on top of Wilhelm while he choke his opponent out, seemingly unfazed by their blows that landed to the sides of his body.

Soon after Mackenzie was fast to intervene and the two men parted from one another before they stood up while taking several deep calming breaths.

I have to admit that Wilhelm seems out of place in the pack, everyone seems well groomed and professional as far as werewolves go but Wilhelm acts more like a rouge. Brutal, instinctive and unique are the words I would use to describe him at this point. I will have to ask my mates about their brother later.

My mates seemed pleased by their brothers performance as well, proud big sisters I guess. Wilhelm seemed to notice our presence and pointed us out to Mackenzie before the gamma nodded and he made his way over to us.

"What's up?" Wilhelm greeted us casually while giving a light smile.

"Mars wanted to see the pack some more now that she is healing properly." Asphra answered while giving my hand a light, reassuring squeeze.

"Good to hear, so while you two have been tending to Mars here the packs gone fine but Liam has gotten somewhat... snarky with the situation." Wilhelm said tiredly, being careful with his choice of words I noticed, I wonder who Liam is.

Both Esphra sighed and Asphra seemed to rapidly become irritated at the information their brother had given them but also they seemed not in the least bit surprised by the information.

"We'll deal with him, just keep doing what you have been." Asphra said calmly, although I could tell that the irritation she and Esphra felt had remained.

"All good then, I should get back to practice, I shall see you three later." Wilhelm stated and sent me  polite smile before returning to Mackenzie. I looked at my mates and sent them a look that silently asked if we could go back home.

Both of my mates understood my silent request and nodded with a smile and we were soon tracing out path back home, it was nice to get a little outing with my mates. Now I need to try and relieve at least some of their stress.

One thought ran through my head, the same advice Mackenzie had given me, show them affection.

It didn't take long for us to return home and settle back down, sitting on the couch and enjoying another moment of peace. I was sitting down in Esphra's lap while leaning over and resting my head softly against Asphra's shoulder.

I could still feel their irritation, I don't know who this Liam is but he seems to have caused my mates more than a little stress, that thought sent a surge of anger flooding through me and I thought I heard a low growl echo through my head, Artemis must be waking up soon, I hope at least, I am really missing her.

I looked up at Asphra who looked down at me with a smile to meet my gaze, those bewitching eyes of hers were more than enough to calm me down, now I had to return the favor.

I reached up and cupped Asphra's cheek in my small hand and leaned up and to her surprise captured her soft, inviting lips in a gentle heartfelt kiss that seemed to make time freeze around us for a moment.

I pulled myself back after a few seconds and sent her a smile that made her smile broaden in return.

Twisting in Esphra's lap to face her I looked up and saw her gazing down on me with her own enchanting eyes and I leaned up again, catching her in a warm loving kiss that made me shiver in delight.

I sat back slightly, looking at my mates and felt a strange yet pleasant electrical surge go through my entire body.

My mates snaked their arms around me and with gentle care, pulling me to sit in between them and wrapped me in their loving, protective embrace.

No words were needed here and it felt good, to be wanted like this was something I had dreamed about as a child but had long since given up on. Moon goddess, this will be the only time I say this, thank you for my beloved mates.

I hope I heal completely soon, I want to see more of the pack, learn to be a luna, see a side of the world I had avoided like a disease.

I wanted to live my new life with my mates.
