Chapter 10: A Friends Return

Hello everybody. Happy New Years! I hope you all had a great turnover from 2018 to 2019, to celebrate here is a new chapter for everyone. Please enjoy.

(Mars POV)  

I once again found myself firmly wedged between my two mates as I had grown accustomed to, and with my growing proficiency at slipping away I slunk out of the bed and stretched out.

I felt stronger then I had since I was wounded, really strong, complete in my entirety even. Wait, "Artemis are you there?" I called out in my mind as I left the room to have a shower before my mates awoke.

"I am here... we have mates now." I heard Artemis call back through my mind, she was back, my wolf, my friend was back and I smiled like a child that had just awoken from a pleasant dream.

"So we do, I am glad your back, I am also glad it was not our night." I reply happily before stripping off my night clothes, throwing them in the washing hamper and starting a nice hot shower.

"And we are luna now, things have changed drastically in quite a short time. What is the goddess doing I wonder." Artemis said, taking in all that I had experienced during her healing hibernation.

"And two mates, not exactly normal." I shoot back, curious about Artemis's thoughts on the matter.

"But it is how things are now, all we can do is follow along and see where this road takes us." She replies to me calmly, I can feel her smiling though, I know she wants to meet them. For now though I still needed to rest and let my body finish healing, then we could do more with out mates then be a cuddle buddy.

I let the hot water rinse over me for a little longer before asking Artemis, "This beta that my mates mentioned will no doubt be a pest, any thoughts?" I ask curiously.

"Meet the beta, then converse with this Wilhelm, a plan can stem from that or a random opportunity may present itself to be seized, We will bide our time and make a decision when we are healed, ready and able." Artemis replied, clearly she also understands that this beta is a risk to our place with our mates.

I finish my shower and turn the water off before exiting the shower stall, "I'll get ready and speak with my- our mates." I say, quickly correcting myself, Asphra and Esphra were our mates, they are not mine alone.

"Fair enough, it is good to be back." Artemis replies before fading to the back of my mind.

"It is good to have you back to." I add before reaching for my clothes, which are not there. I was so distracted with Artemis that I had missed picking up my clothes. I go to grab a towel from the rack only to find in completely empty. I feel like this is some sort of terrible joke.

 I gulp down the lump that was in the back of my throat and slip out of the bathroom and into the bedroom doorway and peered into the bedroom.

My mates were still snoring lightly, I creep in careful minding where I place my feet and reach a cupboard that my mates had stored my clothes in for me and pulled it open and it let out a low squeak that made me freeze.

The light snoring stopped and I knew they had seen me, I could feel their gaze roaming over my back.

"Be confident." Artemis calls to me through my mind and I internally nod at her remark.

I reached into the cupboard and pulled out a pair of simple plain black underwear and an oversized white T-shirt my mates had given me.

Bending over to give my mates a little show I slowly slip into my underwear and slipped them up my legs slowly before donning the shirt and hiding my body from my mates.

I turn around and I can see Asphra and Esphra starring at me with a predatory gaze that sent a delightful shiver through my body. Deciding to follow my instincts I slip back into bed and huddled myself in my position between them.

I feel Esphra slip her arms around me and place a gentle kiss on my neck, "I warned you showing that cute little butt of yours was dangerous, next time we won't be so... tamed." She husked out, lightly grazing her teeth along my neck making me shiver.

Asphra leaned into my front and lightly kissed my cheek tenderly, "She right though, we can only hold ourselves back so long, next time we won't be able to keep so well in control of ourselves." My mate growled out softly.

I have to be more on top of myself now since I have pushed them with my body twice, while both were unintentional I still have to be aware, they are alpha wolves and are not meant to hold themselves back, especially from their mate.

I let a smile slip across my face and softly press a kiss onto Asphra's soft, addicting lips for a moment before pulling back and pressing myself back into Esphra to cuddle with while Asphra slipped her arms around me and her sister affectionately.

Soon I think I will be ready for more intimate activities with my mates but for now this peaceful place we have found ourselves in. I will make a mental note to inform my mates about Artemis later.

And with that chapter ten is done and dusted, so with ten chapters done and my skills in writing improving I will be going back through all ten chapters that are up and fixing any mistakes I made.
