"Believe me I want to, but I don't think I can."

Her answer that day, it all makes sense now.

Is she just fooling around? Is she just making fun of him? Maybe--- he didn't even have the plan to stay? Or if she truly loved him, is she tired on following him now? Did she just fall out of love?

But there's no such thing as falling out of love. Love is forever. And falling out of love just means she didn't love him in the first place.

He knows he didn't demand for an explanation but, is it that hard to explain? What is she keeping really? It makes him crazy.

And now, seeing her in the hospital bed curled in pain makes him even more mad to himself for thinking that way. He wasted all the time he should be sharing with her already.

He thought the pain of her leaving is already painful and couldn't get any worse. But he's wrong. It's world crushing. Completely destroying everything he have left.

He's been thinking on why she can't stay ever since that night. He probably have thougt of all the possible reasons. But this ain't it. This is far from all he have ever thought. He wished it isn't for another man. Or it's not just her fooling around. But now, he thinks it would be better that way.

He wasted his chance.

He should accepted her the time he realized how beautiful person she really is. Inside and out.

On the way back to her hospital room, Chaeyoung and Jisoo walked into someone in the corridors crying loudly while slumping on the floor.

"Honey, please. Don't leave me!" her words can't barely understood because of the loud crying. Someone helped her to stand up and try to calm her.

Jisoo fasten her pace to not let Chaeyoung see and hear what's happening. As they enter the room, they both kept silent until Chaeyoung was settled in her bed.

"Unnie." she called Jisoo softly. "Can you promise me something?"

"Everything for you Chae." she agreed and smiled.

"Promise me you won't tell Jungkook about me. My situation and everything. Please, Unnie. Promise me."

How can you break a promise even before it's made?

"Okay, Chae. Whatever you feel is right."

"Promise?"

Jisoo nods and offer her pinky to sealed the promise.

But Jisoo felt sorry. She already did.

Is it counted as a broken promise when she already did before she asked?

"I don't want to see him in pain looking at me. It'll be more painful for me. And I don't want him to see me like this. I'm not pretty anymore." Chaeyoung hold on to Jisoo's hand. "When the time comes, when everything becomes better. He's the first one I will look for I promise. I will get better. I will be healed. For you guys. For myself. And for Jungkook."

"Time for your medicine." said a nurse who just entered Chaeyoung's room. She put down the book she's reading to hold on the glass of water the nurse is offering her.

"Thank you." even all the pain of the treatment and her condition she still can manage a smile. She don't want to share the burden she's feeling. She wanted to appear strong to them. Especially her family.

"This is for you Miss Chaeyoung." the nurse said handling her a long stem rose.

"This is from?"
