(I'm just going to put on warning on this because it's implied. Keith's father isn't a good man. He is abusive and works Keith harder than he should.)
I sit down on the wall and look over at him.
"You can turn your face. I know you're hiding it."
He sighs and slowly turns to look at me. The bruise staining the side of his face is dark and shows clearly against his pale skin.
"Is it my fault?"
"No. It's never your fault. I was just late."
I pull his face closer and run a thumb over the bruising. He winces and looks at me questiongly.
"You don't deserve this."
I say before leaning forwards and kissing the bruise.
"Lance..."
He replies softly as I lean my forehead against his.
"Your father is cruel. I can't wait until you take his place. You will be a wonderful King."
"I don't deserve you."
I pull back and indigo eyes open to meet mine.
"You deserve all of me. I gave myself to you a long time ago and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon."
I say firmly before moving forwards and kissing him.
"I love you. Nothing is ever going to change that."
