Kattegat was fascinating for her. To say at least. Everything was different. She wasn't kept hidden away in stone, cold castle. Josephine felt free for the first time in many months and that was the reason why she was happier than usual. Hvitserek could see that Josephine fell in love with Kattegat and with vikings traditions even though she was here only one day. It seemed like she belonged to vikings. Which made Hvitserek happy because he wanted to ask Rollo for her hand in marriage. Even though they didn't know each other long, he felt something different for her than he ever felt to other girls.
He just hoped Josephine was feeling the same.

"Where have you been in the morning uncle?"
Asked Ivar as soon as he sat down for breakfast.
"Good morning to you too Ivar."
"Well?"
"I went to look for Largheta."
"Did you find her."
"Yes."
"Well then. I believe breakfast can wait."
Ivar said and stood up using his crutches.
***
"Good morning my lady. How did you sleep?"
Asked a slave girl, who was told to be Josephine's maid at the time she's in Norway because she was the only one who spoke her language.
"Strangely I slept really comfortable."
"I'm happy to hear this my lady. Today at breakfast it will be only you and your uncle."
"Why?"
"His majesty went to look for someone today."
"Oh thank you for informing me."
Said Josephine and started getting ready for the day.
***
"We are leaving after breakfast."
Said Rollo.
"Why?"
Asked surprised Josephine.
"If Ivar will find what he's looking for I won't be able to watch the consequences so we need to leave."
"What is Ivar looking for and what consequences?"
"It's a long and dark story that you shall never know. You are a delicate woman. It's not good for your ears."
"So you want leave without saying goodbye because you are afraid of something?"
"Yes."
"Then I'm staying."
Rollo has pure shock on his face.
"What? Why?"
"I'm staying because I did not discuss politics with Ivar yet also I'm not a coward like you."
"Josephine..."
She stopped him.
"Leave Rollo. I don't think I want to hear what you have to say."
"Very well. What am I supposed to tell your sister?"
"Tell her that I am a free woman who doesn't need a protection and who can take care of herself."
Josephine said confidently but deep inside she wasn't sure of her decision.
***
Ivar entered the great hall pissed. No he wasn't pissed he was beyond furious. I almost had them in my palm. Almost took my sweet revenge.
He sat down on the throne and called servant.
"Bring me ale. Lots of it."
His voice was full of rage and disgust.
"Yes my lord."
Said scared girl with a low voice and hurried away from him.
Ivar looked around the place and noticed something weird.
He called another servant.
"Where's Rollo?"
"He left my lord. He said he's going back to France."
"What about Josephine?"
Ivar didn't want to admit it but he wanted her to stay.
"She was in the port. She went there to send farewells to Rollo. However nobody knows where she is now."
"What do you mean nobody knows where she is?"
He asked even more angry than before and stood up as quickly as he's crutches helped him. Ivar needed to find her. Quickly. Before something bad would happen to her.
***
Josephine entered the small hut at the end of Kattegat. It was the hut that was further away from all houses and it was decorated with weird symbols and medallions.
"Finally you came to me."
Said raspy voice of an man?!
Josephine wanted to scream when she saw the man. He looked like death itself. The man? She wasn't sure how to call him, was wearing long black robe, his whole body was wrinkled and his lips were purple, like no blood was in them.
"Who are you?"
Josephine asked.
"I am the one who knows all. I know the past, present and future. I meet with gods at night and they tell me their plans for every living creature on earth. I am immortal one. Half dead and half alive. When my time comes I won't really die i will pass my gifts into someone and we shall live on till Ragnarök. My soul will  live on till Ragnarök. I shall pass my soul to worthy one. The worthy one will remember his past but won't remember its future."
Okay dude's fucked.
Josephine thought.
"My servant told me that you needed to see me. Why?"
"Sit down dear child."
Young woman sat down on a primitive chair and listened to the old man.
"You need to be careful oh great Ase*...
"My name is Josephine."
"No the name gods have you is Ase. Your
Nordic name is Ase. So I shall call you that."
"As you wish."
"Great Ase, your life is a blessing yet a curse. Not only for you but for him too. When a lone wolf will cry to the full moon, when Thor will send his angry thunder into our world you will lose something dear but not so close to your heart. The one who is destined to be yours will become poisoned by snake and he shall betray you like no other. Your life will become a pain and your pain will give you a blessing after which you will be granted way back home."
The last part took Josephine by surprise.
Way back home. Does he?
"You are not exactly part of this world but you are not exactly a part of that world either. You have to decide to which world you want to be part of. Now leave I'm tied."
So she did.
Weird prophecy still on her mind.
