Chapter 9 Surviving the cat fight

Its been a week, A week since we had our first cheerleading practice and to be honest it wasn’t that bad. I mean it was more running and exercise I would ever do in my life but it wasn’t ass bad as I thought. We actually don’t drills like cartwheels and skill not shaking our asses which i'm very thankful for.

Its also been A week since i've sat under the the huge oak tree with Kelly, Marissa, Zach and the other girls. Since they pushed me into cheerleading most of us sit at a table in the cafeteria. Since then Kelly has been giving me glares and ignoring me, whats that girls problem

The bell rings signalling its time for lunch, dam its already half way through the term and soon its time to graduate. Its so daunting that soon its time to go off to college, start working , buying our own houses, getting married. Its too much pressure even thinking about all of it.

I groan and sling my cheetah print back over my shoulder and wonder out of our history classroom. Since i've gotten into cheerleading or well Pushed into it, people have been treating me nicely. Its really weird or well I guess everyone thinks your popular if your a cheerleader.

I bump into someone “Oh Sorry” I look up to see Kelly, I give her a smile but she doesnt return it

“Whats up?” I ask, she's usually never angry I mean she usually cools off and then forgets about it and ive only seen here really angry once

“What up” she spits

Seriously whats her problem, I give her a confused look “Whats got your panties in a twist this morning?”

“Well maybe my old best friend doesn't even talk to me anymore because she things she so high fucking mighty because she’s a cheerleader” she seethes, giving me a dirty look

“Well im not the one who wanted to do cheerleading in the first place, it was your so dont go saying im acting all high and mighty, All i'm doing is sitting with other people cant I have other friends?”

“See the old Chloe would just apologise and then it would be forgotten but no your creating a scene?” I look around and it has created a few stares in out direction, Honestly I dont care

“Well im going to stick up for myself not let you tell me that i've “changed”, Cant I have other friends Kelly, is that so wrong?” I question

“Whatever Chloe, your just starting to act like a bitch to all of us”

“Kelly I havnt spoken to you since least week, want to know why? Whenever I even glance in your direction I get these glares from you, whenever I give you a smile you ignore it, tell me Kelly is it really me acting like a bitch? I spit, anger pulsing through my body

“Whatever, go act all high and mighty with your cheerleader friends, if it wasnt for me you wouldn’t even be one” she says before storming off around the corner, her footsteps echoing down the hall

I let out a frustrated sigh and started walking into the direction of the cafeteria. The cafeteria was the second best looking place of the school after the art room.

It has about 6 walls and each of them were painted a different colour and there were fluorescent lights instead of normal ones giving it a cool vibe. Sometimes there was good food there but usually it was some sort of mystery meat that teasted like a mis of fish, chicken and Llama.

“Hey girls” I greet sitting down on a spare chair next to a girl named Claire

They all mumble their hellos, “Have you heard, proms next month” A girl named Alyssa spoke cutting through the silence.
