Amour

"So you met this girl once at a party, intoxicated as hell, and suddenly yall are in love?" I ask my brother, the bitter x taste of the whiskey burning my throat.

"It's more than that brother, but yes, that's how we met," Henry rolls his eyes before grabbing the cup I was drinking out of. "Now, can you please, try not to get drunk before my bride walks down the aisle?"

"Unlike you brother, I can hold my alcohol," I roll my eyes but made no moves to take the glass away from him. "Just having some fun with you before you're taken away from me."

"Do you not approve?" I walk over to Henry, fixing his tie.

"Cinderella is a kind and beautiful young woman brother, I do approve of this marriage."

Not that you needed my approval in the first place. I wanted to add but decided against it.

"Thank you brother, it means a lot," I nod, believing his words before making my way out of the room.

"Let's go then, the wedding of the year is waiting for its groom."

Soon enough, I was next to my brother waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle. I ignore the constant look I received from the peanut gallery. The majority are surprised that I am even attending the wedding, let alone as the best man.

That's right you gossiping old rags, the black sheep is back.

A smirk comes on my face, I send the lady that was scowling at me a wink before all of our focus goes to the woman walking down the aisle. She walks down the path gracefully, her head down as she accompanies the flower girl who seems to have been crying.

That's new.

The woman kept a dazzling smile on her face, as she squeezes the child's hand, reassuring her. The young woman allows the little girl to sit down in the reserve session before taking her place on top. I take a glance at her, admiring her sharp features before snapping back to reality.

Maybe I am drunk.

I look at the scene in front of me, before taking a shot of vodka. The decoration for the ceremony made me want to visibly cringe. The soft blue theme is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but it was too bright for my liking.

I look at my phone, waiting for an excuse to leave. Nothing.

A scoff was heard from someone next to me, I take a deep breath before turning and acknowledging the man who decided to destroy my peace. "Hello, father,"

"Why did you not make an entrance, are you that stubborn to not follow wedding rules?"

You know damn well that Henry wanted only a bride and groom entrance.

"You know me, I live to disappoint," I mutter, taking a sip of whiskey. The light dims, signally the bride and groom's entrance, and saving me from my father's words.

My gaze falls on the dance floor, a single microphone in the middle. My eyes follow the woman from before as she makes her way to the microphone. This time she's wearing a shorter version of the light blue dress she had on earlier, my eyes fall on her beautiful legs shining from the light.

I adjusted myself on my seat, thankful that my father had left my side and did not see the state I was in. Her melanin-Rich skin contrasting with the blue dress, bringing out her beauty even more.

Yeah, I had too much to drink.

"Call me a dri-" My words cut short as the first melody echoes through the room. A soft hum, no words. I ignore the bartender who was waiting for me to finish my sentence.

The room claps as my brother and Cinderella make their way to the dance floor, their eyes only on each other. The humming stops, and as she opens her mouth and sings the first note everyone in the room fades away and only she remains.

"So this is love,, mmmmm,,,, so this is loveeee," I watch her intensely, afraid that if I breathe or blink she will disappear.

Her voice, smooth like melted caramel and soft like the silk sheets I want so desperately to take her in. My mind begins to imagine the beautiful moans that would come out of her plump lips as I worship her body.

What the hell is wrong with me.

" My heart has wings, mmm, And I can fly," I bite my lips, keeping out the groan that almost escaped me. My heart aches all of the sudden and I can't understand why. The only thing I wanted to know was who that woman is.

She goes back to humming, her smile never leaving her face as she watches the couple dance. For the first time, I glance at my brother and his wife, also smiling when I see them.

Henry Charming and Cinderella, truly a wonderful match. The way he looked at her, ready to fall at her feet. The love is so evident in both of their eyes, even a blind fool can see the romance between them.

The dance between the newlyweds is done and I watch Cinderella hug the girl. My feet start to move, faster than my thoughts, and soon enough I was next to the couple, hugging my brother.

He gives me a weird look but says nothing, as I plant a soft kiss on Cinderella's temple congratulating her. Her face tints the slightest bit of red and I let out a chuckle.

She's still a bit intimidated by me.

"Who's your friend princess?" My voice surprises me, it became raspier than before as I glance at the singer waiting for Cinderella to introduce us.

However, before she could my phone interrupting her. I send an apologetic smile to them and checking the message.

Boss, there's an emergency, the limo is waiting for you outside- Oliver

I shut my eyes in annoyance before giving the people in front of me an apologetic smile.

"I apologize for my rudeness, problems at work," I say giving my brother another hug and a kiss on Cinderella's rosy cheek. "See you soon princess,"

I give the quiet singer and wink before walking out, ignoring the look I was receiving from the crowd.

I enter the limo and take my gun from Oliver's hand before letting out a string of curses, startling him.

I forgot to get her name.
