Silence filled the arena.

All the guards remained still looking up at the king waiting for a word.

The king's anger was something not easily stopped

Suddenly rough breathing brought me back to reality

I looked back to see kent struggling to push his body up

I was about to lean closer when I felt to rough hands dragging me away from him

"What are you doing?"

"You will wait on the king's order"

I looked back to see the man glaring down at me

Hatred filled his eyes

" How dare you to make a fool of the king in his court"

His voice echoed through the room

" I did nothing but protect my own life"

"Your life means nothing here" he snapped

I didn't know what to say

I was left speechless

The room remained silent as if they were afraid that the king's anger would be taken out on them.

My life had no value to the kingdom

I simply am here due to circumstance

" You have disrespected the king more times than anyone alive or dead can count and today you will be punished, Guards!"

The guards raised their swords and started moving towards me

Kent's confused shout began to fill the air

"what's going on? Luna what going on"

I didn't know what to say

I knew I had no more strength to fight

If the king wanted me dead I will be dead

Let's say I managed to escape

I fled the arena

Castle

Leave the whole kingdom

I would still be known as a fugitive

I would be hunted for the rest of my life

I want to survive but an eternity running isn't a life

I closed my eyes and braced myself

The guards came closer ready to complete the job the king asked for

But a single voice rang through once again

" No"

My eyes snapped open and looked at prince kai

He stood beside his rather than behind him

He was looking at his father who was glaring right back at him

"She will not die here because I, The Prince of the aisle of light has made his first declaration"

Gasps rang through the arena

"First?" I whispered

Prince kai had been at the mature age since he was sixteen, and not one declaration has been made?

Why is he making a declaration now?

If he desires to save my life there is no way he can change the king's mind
