Chapter one hundred four: "Ramira"

I was finished doing my makeup so I started ironing my hair straight while Cloud was taking a shower in the bathroom, the dress I chose was a simple sleeveless white Peter pan collar light pink dress that reaches my thighs

I'll pair it with cream-colored combat boots and a knitted cardigan that is also cream-colored, I heard the bathroom door open and I saw Cloud wearing black slacks and a white dress shirt that is button up. He rolled the sleeves to his elbow showing his muscles

I think if I was alone I might have nosebleed to death

We locked eyes after he finished drying his hair with the towel, I noticed the buttons were not closed yet so I walked closer and closed the buttons. He was staring at my face as I slowly tried to put the buttons on the holes "You are not gonna meet my family with all the buttons not closed"

He chuckled "I wasn't gonna but I have to dry my hair first" he held my hand and laid it on his wet hair "See"

"I have a blow dryer, I can help you dry your hair since the reunion will start in 16 minutes"

He nodded and sat on the bed as I pulled out my hairdryer in my luggage and plugged it in before starting to dry his hair, I was supposed to focus on drying his hair but Cloud looked up at me with puppy dog eyes that it was hard to focus

"Is there something on my face?" I asked as I grab my comb on the nightstand and proceeded to comb and dry his hair simultaneously

"You're wearing make-up...why?"

"To look pretty, it's an obvious answer and you don't know?" I raised one brow up and one side of my lips quirk up

When his hair was finally dry I pulled out the hairdryer from the plug and laid it on the nightstand

I think I heard Cloud mumble "You don't need it"

So when I turned around and asked "What?"

He shook his head and replied "Nothing"

I looked down at my phone to see the message where the venue is held and it says it is a ballroom so I asked around where the location was and they were kind enough to point me in the right direction, just when I was about to enter the door Cloud was nowhere to be seen "Cloud?"

The corridors were empty and I can hear loud music coming from the inside of the ballroom
I'm sure he must have forgotten something

I opened the door slightly to take a peek and I can see everyone from my clan inside dancing and talk loudly with each other on the tables

"Penelope~" I heard a familiar voice, a smile formed on my face "Juliet!" I hug my favorite cousin tightly and I can see Romeo giving me a small wave of hello

She looked at me then the slightly opened door behind me "Aren't you going in?"

"It would be awkward"

"Penelope there is no such thing as awkward involved in the family name, the word you are looking for is standing out too much since nobody is with you"

She suddenly hooked arms with me and gave me a wicked grin "So where is your boyfriend?"

We started to enter the ballroom "He must have left something in our hotel room"
