CHAPTER 1

Swasti's pov

Knock* Knock*

Helper; Rajkumariji!(A helper screamed from outside)

Here starts my day, after screaming "yes", I dragged my feet to the restroom.Getting ready in a floral printed kurti and plazo with jhumkas and a delicate bracelet. I sat for approximately 10 mins as my hairdresser made my hair in a beautiful braid.

Finally ready I walked to the dining table for breakfast. Hold a minute! Shit!I forgot to introduce myself! Okay so I'm Swasti Arvind Rathore-23, a rajkumari as u may have figured out already however I would rather like to be called The CFO of KKS Companies.

My life is pretty much simple but complex. Simple cuz the life I have, almost all royal members also have, Complex because of being a royal member, in addition, a rajkumari!

Swasti:Good morning papa!(I greeted him with a warm smile)

Arvind:Good morning!(He returned the smile)

Hmm! Well that is my world best father, one reason y I can proudly call myself a CFO is cuz of my father, as I said I'm a royal member more precisely rajkumari even more precisely a Female(nope I'm not Sexist but the world is..... or rather the regal families!) Hence, working is a crucial topic, but all credits to my father, not in this palace!

Swasti:Good morning ma( I said with the same smile which ofc she returned)

Shikhsha:Good morning!

My mother,ladies and gentlemen! Well she isn't the best mother in this world like my father but she isn't one of those most cruel and evil type of mom either, I love her yes but not as much as I love my father, afterall me and my mom have some serious contrasting opinions in almost everything! She is one of those typical mother in any royalty, but I do love her!

Arvind:How r u doing?

I mumbled a no thank you to the helper who was serving me dahi(curd)

Swasti:Good papa! I'll have to go to the company later for 2-3 hrs, I know its a Sunday but I have some important stuff to do!

Arvind:That's okay, but why don't u go now and finish up,then in the evening we can plan something?

Swasti:Uhhmm...yahhh...I'll see..

Arvind:Okay

Then there was silence for 2-3 minutes

Arvind:So.......uhmmm...(He said gaining my attention)

Swasti:Ji papa?(I asked)

Arvind:What do u think about marriage?

It took me a minute to process what he asked nd when I processed it the very 1st question i asked myself was:-

Why is papa asking me about MARRIAGE???

Swasti:Uhhmm......I haven't thought of it papa, I'm just 23 and I still have to become the CEO remember??(I reminded papa, looking at him with a straight face) but why are you asking this papa??(I had strange feelings like fear, idk it just didn't feel right)

Arvind:I won't beat around the bush, We=me and ur mom, have thought a lot and our decision is that it's ur right age to get MARRIED...infact my old friend Shekhawat is coming home at evening with his son-the Yuvraj of Jaipur who is also one of the youngest billionaire(ma nodded smiling)

I was paralysed, I got numb at my place,I can't get married when I'm just 23! And definetly not with some complete STRANGER!!!!

After 5 exact minutes I finally spoke up gathering some courage nd taking in a deep breath-

Swasti:I..(I gulped the lump in my throat)I'm not ready papa!(I spoke calmly)

Arvind:Ya so who is marrying u off now? We r only planning the engagement next week, for the marriage u will have one entire month dear!

Swasti:ONE ENTIRE MONTH!!!(I repeated his words, completely horrified as my eyes grew wide with shock)

Arvind:Ya it's all the way next month,so there is no problem right?

Swasti:Problem!!(I almost screamed, but lowered my tone soon) PROBLEM?? Papa just 1 month and even that I'll get ENGAGED next week! And u still believe I won't have a "problem"

Shikhsha: But what's so wrong in it?( she asked dumbfounded)

Swasti:What's wrong?? U r asking me what's wrong?Well u decided to get me ENGAGED next week, while I'm still 23, to someone I haven't even talked to btw, nd u really don't see anything wrong?( I asked sarcastically)

I felt so pissed off, more than that I felt heart-broken, like my engagement is already decided here without my consent, I'm literally just 23, I still have so much to do in life even for a second if we forget this, but for heaven-sake i don't even know who I'm getting engaged to! And u know what's suprising? My parents don't even think anything is wrong here! I will actually laugh!

At this point, I can't stand them anymore, as a wise woman I'm just gonna walk away before I say things no one would want a rajkumari to say.

Swasti:You know What papa,since u both have decided everything then do what you want!(I said getting up)I'm going to the office nd I'll come home late!(I left feeling suffocated by their presence right now)
