~Jades pov~

I'm babysitting my brother well sitting in the same room as him. He doesn't need babysitting but my dad insists on it.

I'm on call with cat and we are talking about absolutely anything we can.
"Umm who is most likely to date someone they don't like because they are scared to ask out the person they actually like" cat asks me
"Robbie" I reply
"I like Robbie" she tells me
"I know and it's obvious he likes you I just don't understand why you won't ask him out" I say
"Because I'm not even sure he likes me and it might be weird as we've been friends so long and we might lose that friendly connection and I don't want to because he's a great friend he's funny and smart and caring and if we start dating it'll be weird and then if we break up we'll stop talking to each other and it'll be awkward and then I'll lose him entirely; it's just so much easier if we stay friends" she explains to me
"Look cat I know I understand but even if you date you can still have that friendly connection you just need to know how to keep it" I said to her
"Easy for you to say when you and beck started dating you weren't exactly friends you were classmates" cat said
"We were kinda friends but anyway that's beside the point, if you date keep it natural and don't force anything and do the things you'd do as friends and more but just with the label 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend'"
"It's easier said than done jadey"
"Just go for it and ask him out"
"I'll think about it" cat said, she didn't say anything for a while but I heard muffled speaking "sorry I've got to go my brother has taken to many of his special pills so I have to go to the doctors and be there" her mood dropped after she said that
"I'll see you later then"
"Bye jadey"
"Bye kitty"

I hung up the call and a minute later beck called me. I answered it.
"Hey beck" I said
"Jade you do realise you've been on a call for an hour maybe even more than that" beck told me
"Yep I'm aware I was on call with cat is that a problem with you"
"No it's not I just need to tell you something"
"Ok what is it"
"So you know my friend from Canada I was telling you about"
"The dude with the animal name"
"Yeah moose"
"What about him?"
"Well he's here for the week and he's taking my old room in my house and you get to meet him tomorrow" beck said excitedly
"Yay great meeting more people I just love that" I say sarcastically "why did you need to call me so much as if it was an emergency"
"I don't know but I wanted to tell you so you know and please be nice"
"Beck you and I both know I'm not going to be be nice no matter how hard I try it won't happen" I say
"I know but try"
"Fine" I say and roll my eyes even though he can't see it
"He'll be arriving soon so I have to go"
"Ugh bye"
"What was the 'ugh' for did I annoy you?" He asks
"No but I'm babysitting my brother who doesn't need it and cat had to go I'm not going to go on call with Andre as his grandmother will be being way to noisy to even hear anything, I'm not calling Robbie because I'm not and I'm mad at Vega right now so I'm gonna be so bored" I explain
"Why are you mad a tori?"
"Because she stole a handful of my fries at lunch and she made me look like an idiot in alphabetical improv today" I said
"Want me to stay here until moose gets here?" He offers
"Yes"

~becks pov~

As my friend moose was coming round my parents made me stay in the living room until the get there but I was bored waiting so I stayed on call with jade until the doorbell rang.
"That's probably moose so hang up the call and I answer the door" my mom said, she seemed more excited than me
"Answer the door and I'll be there in a minute" I tell them
"Okay but he quick"
"Sorry jade I've got to go" I tell jade over the phone
"Okay bye"
"I love you"
"Love you too" She says, I'm about to hang up when she says something "oh and beck is it okay if once my dad gets home I can still stay at yours"
"Yeah of course why wouldn't it be"
"Well moose is round and you'll probably want to be with him"
"Jade it's fine don't worry and you're all going to meet him tomorrow anyway"
"Okay then bye"
"Bye"
