Sparring With My Blood Clone

I walked to the center of the room, which had enough space for at least 5 people to train at the same time, and slit a cut in my finger, allowing a droplet of blood to emerge before falling to the ground, creating a blood clone.

The blood clone was similar to a golem in that it solely obeyed the summoner's commands. However, once the blood clone has completed its purpose, it will collapse into a pool of blood, which will dissolve quickly.

"Spar with me, but employ all of your strength because you are a composite of hundreds of blood from the species from which I ingested blood, but I won't use any weapons to make things more difficult." I said with a sadistic grin on my face.

The blood clone isn't created from Lily's blood; instead, it's created from the blood she drank and kept within her to be used as food in the future.

blood clone stepped forward and appeared in front of me, wielding a chaos katana and slashing my vitals.

I ducked down and pivoted my body to the left, my nails growing razor sharp, and I aimed my hand at her abdomen.

*Clang!

By quickly adjusting the direction of her slash, she was able to parry my attack, but she wasn't done yet, as she kneed her knee towards my head.

I took a step forward and emerged behind the blood clone, but upon exiting the void, I was confronted by a black katana.

As I dodged her katana, I thought, "How?"

I sensed danger after dodging her katana and used my fingers to produce black threads that linked the floor and ceiling before wrapping around the blood puppet's arm, halting the katana inches from reaching me.

*Spatter!

Her arm burst into droplets of blood, which were then drawn towards the severed arm and molded back into her arm, which was now free of the threads.

"That's a great technique, but it wouldn't work for me unless my regeneration was quicker, unless I used Change Inducement." I thought as a brilliant glimmer of light appeared in my crimson eyes.

As she slashed her newly manifested katana at my neck, I activated [Change Inducement], rather than evading, I changed the matter in front of the katana into a barrier.

*Slice!

The blood clone sliced through the barrier, but I was already gone as I slashed my hand at her neck and used [Change Inducement], which quickly altered her body's property to that of flesh, preventing her from bursting into droplets of blood and regrouping.

"Reverse." I shouted as the now-dead blood clone reverted to her previous form.

"Now use all of your skills to the highest efficiency." I said as I knew it would be difficult, but that I could learn from her since she would make the most efficient use of all of my abilities.

the blood clone disappeared without taking a step and reappeared behind me, her katana inches from my arm, before I could get any chance to react.

*Slice!

As I changed the matter in front of her katana, I was barely able to form a barrier, but it was nearly instantaneously reversed, allowing the blood clone's katana to severe my arm.

"How." I thought as I clutched my shoulder and said, "Stop." To the blood clone.

I looked at how much mana I had left.

[Chaotic Mana: 1,438/28,000]

"Not only is it difficult to change to use change inducement, but it also rapidly depletes my mana." I thought this as I sighed and sat cross-legged position and began to meditating.

I started thinking of how I loss so easily and what I need to improve by examining the fight I had with my blood clone.

"How did she figure out where I was going to teleport to?" I thought as I started circulating my mana to both replenish my mana and regenerate my arm.

"She must've been able to sense where I was going to exit."

"Did she use Past Vision?"

"She must've used something else because her eyes didn't change at all."

"It was as if she could sense the ripples in space itself, allowing her to appear in front of me before I left the void."

I raised my hand and flicked my finger, creating a small spatial tear as I attempted to perceive it, closing and opening it continuously, putting a burden on my mind, but I pushed through it until I could barely perceive the space ripple.

...

A holographic screen appeared in front of my eyes a half-hour later, stopping me in my tracks as I closed the spatial tear.

[Host has unlocked skill: Spatial Awareness]

[Spatial Awareness (Proficiency 1%)]

User can sense movement in spacial tear as long as they are within your proximity. The higher the proficiency, the more skills may be accessible.

There are two ways to get proficiency skills: unlocking a hidden skill from any sort of magic or obtaining a skill from an attribute that you don't have an affinity for.

"Finally, but I'll increase the proficiency later; right now, I need to find out how she used void step without the need of stepping."

"How I know it was void step is that, it was too fast to be short-ranged teleportation."

"She could've used change inducement, allowing her to use void step without the need to take a step."

"It will most likely cost a lot of mana, since just materializing matter or altering the blood clones body into flesh and bone cost most of my mana."

I once again looked at how much mana I had left.

[Chaotic Mana: 22,745/28,000]

...

[Chaotic Mana: 28,000/28,000]

I stood up and activated [Change Inducement] before taking a step forward, and appeared a few meters away.

"That's not it; I didn't make any changes; there must be another activation method than stepping forward."

"The only thing I can think of that is faster than stepping forward is the thought of teleporting to your desired spot."

"I'll give it a shot, but it'll use up quite a bit more mana than before."

I checked how much mana I had left before attempting the concept, since I didn't want to run dry of mana while I was casting.

[Chaotic Mana: 19862/28,000]

"Should be enough for at least two attempts."
