It had been a day or two, I think... hard to keep track of time without a sun, since the medical test. Miss Kate seemed really engrossed in something. But I haven't been able to really have any conversations with her since. She was researching something important I guess because she rarely even came back to her room.

I know that because I still knew very little about the Ark so I chose to stay in here. Even if I could read well enough I still struggled with speaking English and a lot of the residents didn't seem to be very fond of me so I tried to keep my distance.

But unfortunately fate seemed to have other plans today. As the door opened but it wasn't Kate it was the other guy I've saw her speak with once or twice.

I think his name started with E.

"Oh good you're here. The admiral needs to speak with you. Come with me." The man said before grabbing my wrist. I didn't really have a chance to get a word in before I was being pulled along to see this guy they called Admiral.

***
"Where... are we going."

"I already told you. We're going to speak with the admiral."

Ok but who the heck even is this admiral. And his grip was starting to hurt my wrist. I guess the life of a princess doesn't exactly give you the pain tolerance that a living weapon would.

"Can we at least slow down? You're hurting my arm." I whined

The man signed before surprisingly doing as I asked and slowing our pace. "We're not much farther just follow me." He said releasing his grip on my wrist.

"Let's just go." He motioned for me to follow him.

I realized as we went further down the hallways that the light increased from just faint colors on the sides of the floor to the entire hallway being lit up as if someone had lanterns scattered in the room.

Then all of a sudden we stopped in front of a large metallic door. It looked... kinda menacing actually.

"Admiral I brought the Avosian as you asked" he said as the door opened up... on its own? Was this some sort of magic they had?

"Thank you Edra." An older man in a fancy suit with greying hair said. He had some pins on his shirt as well. I suppose this was the admiral guy they spoke of.

Regardless he fixed his gaze upon me.

"You can understand me correct Avosian?"

"Yes" I give a quick response. This man was actually kind of intimidating and had a look in his eye that reminded me of the previous Gehnan King. Not the kind of person you want to cross.

"Good. Then I think we've given you enough time to rest. I'm going to need you to answer some questions."

I nodded though I fully planned to ask some questions of my own during this conversation.

"First off how did you learn English?"

"My father taught me how to read it. I still can't speak it well though."

"I see."

The questioning continued but they kept referring to me as Avosian, whatever that meant. I finally decided to blurt out

"Lilian!" I said in a sharp tone of voice.

"Excuse me?"

"You keep calling me Avosian, whatever the heck that's supposed to be. But that's not my name. My name is Lilian."

...

"Very well then Lilian. May we continue the questioning?"

"Fine but I want to ask you something as well. What the heck is an Avosian anyways?"

"It's the name for life forms from planet Avos, your world" the guy that brought me here, apparently his name is Edra, said.

"My world?" Hmmmm well I guess they're like dad from a different world... or maybe the same world now that I think about it.

"Yes. Humans such as ourselves are from a planet known as earth. Though it was lost long before most of us were born. Only two people on this ship that had seen earth remain."

So their home was destroyed huh. But it was so long ago that only really the descendants remain... actually that reminds me of one of Sophie's old comics just that these people are sailing a sea of stars instead of sand
Authors note. If you know the series I'm referencing you deserve a cookie

And it seemed like their destination was going to be Avos. My home world... or at least their naming of it. In truth our world was simply just known as the world. There was no true need for us to name it since space travel wasn't a thing.

I still had more questions but they would have to wait as miss Kate decided to show up during the questioning.

"Why the hell did you decided to drag Lily here without informing either of us ahead of time?!?" She said with a labcoat thrown over her regular outfit with and a file under her left arm. None too pleased looking.

"Show some professionalism miss Alans." A somewhat lanky looking man said mockingly. He seemed slightly familiar but not in a good way

"Can it Vaistos" she said annoyed with him before coming up to me.

"Admiral I'll be taking Lily back to her room now." She said before grabbing my hand. Then helping me up before leading me out of the room.

The walk back was a silent one but I could tell Kate wanted to speak with me about something.

"Uhhh miss Kate was there something you needed me for?"

I saw a faint smile appear on her face.

"Yes. But not until we get back to the room. I have something I want to show you." She said and the silent walk continued.

Then soon enough we arrived.

I sat on the bed while she went into the closet to get something out.

"So Lily your father. His name is Caius Alans correct?"

"Yes... why do you ask?" I said and she just handed me a picture of a teenage girl in a green jacket with long blonde hair. Right next to a young man with pitch black hair and the striking blue eyes I found all too familiar. It looked exactly like dad... or more accurately the hero Caius from my previous life as Excella.

Wait but then does that mean?

"That look tells me all I needed to know." She said giving a gentle smile before hugging me.

"Your father is my older brother. So I suppose that would make you my Niece."

Hey we're back on the Ark after months. Hope y'all enjoyed this chapter I was busy with school and felt like spending my free time playing Octopath traveler 2 instead of writing.
