Staircase Myth

∆∆∆

I was mad at mom, very mad. I don't know what she did to me last day but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with her ability. She didn't want me knowing something. Too bad, I'm more curious.

Mama's also not here, but she's always up early for work because of her shift. But I bet she knows about what happened last day.

Whatever, I'll just search for it myself.

I went out of my room and quickly headed to the kitchen when I felt hungry. I stumbled upon Moon who's silently eating a jam bread, looks like he's about to go to school. Isn't it Saturday?

I guess it's pretty normal for college students to have an irregular schedule, the reason why I have classes later, but I didn't know he also had saturday classes even though he's in highschool.

"You have classes?" I couldn't help but ask. If he has, it's a good time for me to search the whole house.

Moon looked at me and nodded, "club day." He shortly answered.

Binuksan ko ang ref at nilaklak ang fresh milk, then grabbed some pandesal.

He rarely calls me ate, because we never really speak to each other. Somehow, hearing that makes me feel soft.

"Yeah?"

I felt a hug behind me and It confused me. Moon's not an affectionate person even when he's a child, so this is something new.

"Do you have any problems?" I asked, it's the only thing that I could think of.

"I just feel like this would be the last time I'll see you." He whispered and let go of me.

I was about to respond when Moon ran away from the kitchen. Really, that child. It's not like I'm gonna die or what. I wish he isn't foreseeing my future, though.

I entered their room and a sweet scent of raspberry filled my nose. Mom likes the smell of a raspberry. It's her perfume and air freshner.

I started searching, even though I don't know what I'm searching for. I looked into her drawers, her bed, even in her bathroom. I had no luck in their room.

Soon enough, I went to our mini library. I'm currently searching through the shelves when a large box disguised as a book caught my attention. It's hidden at the very bottom of the shelf. And here I am thinking that I've read all the books in our library, but I've only seen this now.

I grabbed it and I was lucky that it wasn't locked.

The book, rather the box, I opened it. I saw a thick pocketbook inside but when I scanned it's pages, I couldn't understand the language. I could read it, but I don't know its meaning.

Muka siyang spell, book of spells? Wala kasing title 'yong libro but most of the words here are like something I hear from Harry Potter. I don't watch Harry Potter, just watched some scenes from it.

I wonder why it's hidden, I've never seen this before.
