YEARS OF WAITING

AWAITED MOMENT

Qiao tapped Yeon and asked, "Why are you smiling and what had just happened few mintes ago?"

Yeon just looked at him and Ryan came with a cup of tea and asked," do you noticed that yеоn appeared
different, Qiao?"

"Even Aera too..."- Qiao responded,

Yeon took a deep breath and replied -"  That was nothing. I'm just feeling
good" , Ryan then added with a smirk, "Maybe he's just been bitten by the
love bug!"
Yeon just smiled widely, Qiao then looked at Ryan with a raised eye brow
and said - "Is there something
going on b/w Yeon & Aera that we don't know about?"

Ryan shrugged and said, "who knows? I guess we'll just have to wait I see?"

Yeon glared at Ryan and said- "when it's time, I will tell you , Okay!"

Qiao nodded and said -"well , whatever it is I  hope it works out for
you two"

Meanwhile Yuen came to me, I was sitting in bed, not knowing what to do; I was too nervous to face them
yuen asked - " Aera, are you hiding
Something from me ?"

"of course... no"
yuen looked at me intently, as if she could see through my facade. I averted my gaze and bite my lip, not
wanting to answer any more questions. Then suddenly, Yuen broke the tension with a mischievous
smile - "I was just kidding. Let's go get some ice-cream"

It was around 7 pm and we all walked out to get ice-cream. We walked through the footpath where I and
Qiao followed Yuen, Ryan and Yeon . We were all bundled up against the
cold, but Yuen, Ryan  had to brave it a
bit more by wearing scarves and caps.The ice cream shop was bustling with customers. We were trying to get ice cream but couldn't. I, Yuen & Yeon
tried to get out of the crowd but in the middle I was being pushed, when I felt someone grab me from behind, which stopped me from being pushed any further when I turned around to see who it was, it was yeon.

I understood it was the yeon's eyes I saw in the flash at the same time, his hand chain's butterfly and my butterfly chain both got stuck and a series of flashes ran through my head.
were both stunned and looked at each other. Then, I realized that it must be fate that had brought us together.

A/N POV:

Their  intertwined chains seemed to be a symbol of same thing profound, a
confirmation of destiny that had brought them together.

END OF A/N POV:

The sudden flashes made my head aches and I put my  hands on my head and looked into Yeon's eye with a lot of emotion, I understood now our meeting was meant to be.

Yeon asked with concern- "you are fine right ?"

I moved away from yeon once more yeon asked - "you are fine, right?".

"Aera, are you okay?" Qiao asked.

Ryan and Yuen looked at me worried
expression. I nodded my head in agreement and forced a smile.
I said - "Yeah I'm fine - I'll see
You guys tomorrow".

Yuen said hurriedly - "I am also going with her , see you later "

we left the place and started walking towards home. I could feel Yeon's worried gaze on me, but I kept walking . As I got home I went to the room and closed the door , Yuen knocked on the door & asked - "Aera, You are fine, right?" in worried tone.

"I am fine,  I  jus-t need sleep "

"Okay fine then, sleep well with a sense of relief, Yuen smiled and said, "That's good to hear , sleep well. "

I couldn't suppress my tears when I
thought of the flash series. I sat near bed and thought of Yeon, I hadn't
experienced a situation like this before. All of a sudden, everything makes sense - the rain, lavenders, our butterfly chains, Yeon ,even the words of vagabond. I felt an overwhelming sense of understanding and connection to Yeon.

I crawled onto the bed to sleep,
It suddenly started raining, so I decided to close my eyes while holding my chain. However, I was having the same flashes in my mind, I started gripping my chain more tightly. It was like I was dreaming, but it was too vivid to be one. I felt connected to something deeper and something bigger. I felt a strange sense of clarity and I had never felt before in the other flashes.
