“A-are you really not going to check it out? What if they manage to come all the way here?”

Mo Linyuan was amused as he watched her struggle to change the topic of their conversation. He said wickedly, “Don’t worry, if someone comes, then I will protect. Even if I’m unable to protect you. They’ll have to step over my dead body to hurt you.”

Ye Mu glared at him, “I dislike you! Y-you get down from me! I won’t head out and check out the fighting, so get off of me! You’re really heavy!”

“Am I that heavy?” Mo Linyuan lowered his head and rubbed her face with the tip of his nose. “What should I do? I really want to stick to you like glue?”

Ye Mu was speechless at how shameless he was, so she pushed him hard and sat up, “Then I can only use force to solve this problem!”

She looked very serious, but Mo Linyuan burst out laughing. He was overjoyed even though he was pushed away by her.

After he stopped laughing, he also sat up and suddenly grabbed both of Ye Mu’s hands. His eyes seemed to be sparkling in the darkness.

“I admit that you are definitely stronger than me since you have hundreds of years of inner strength stored inside of you, but are you willing to hurt me?”

Ye Mu met his gaze and she immediately noticed how heated his gaze was.

“I’m certain that I will not hurt you.”

“That’s enough for me.”

As soon as he said that, he suddenly leaned forward and kissed Ye Mu’s small lips. He gently sucked on her lips and then licked it carefully, like he was eating a delicious candy.

Ye Mu widened her eyes in shock. It was loud and noisy outside because there were assassins, but it was quiet inside the palace. Two people were inside the quiet palace doing shameful things in bed.

Ye Mu’s heart was beating rapidly!

After she finally snapped out of her trance, she stretched out her hand to push Mo Linyuan away. Mo Linyuan avoided her this time, and she didn’t succeed in pushing him away. Instead, he wrapped his arms firmly around her and pushed her down on the soft guilt.

Just at this moment, someone from outside the room anxiously yelled into the room, “Your Majesty, the assassins are advancing here! They vastly outnumbered us!”

Mo Linyuan stared into Ye Mu’s eyes and only said one word.

“I don’t care how you fight against them, but they will not be allowed to enter this room.”

“This subordinate will obey Your Majesty’s command!”

Ye Mu grabbed onto Mo Linyuan’s clothes and protested quietly!

“That’s enough! They’re almost here!”

Mo Linyuan smiled gently, “They won’t be able to get in.”

After he finished speaking, he lowered his head and kissed her small mouth gently again.

It seemed like the news from the Prime Minister was wrong. The Zhou Family and the Empress Dowager had united their forces. There were many people involved in this turmoil this time.
