"Sooo..." you weren't quite sure what to say. Mattsun had just announced he'd gotten into a university in Fukuoka, about an 18 hour trip by car. By plane, the trip would only take about 4 hours but with you being a 3rd year in the upcoming year, you'd be swamped with work and Mattsun would be even more so.
He'd told you he thought about not going and if you were honest, you didn't really want him to either. But you didn't have the heart to be selfish. Mattsun sounded pretty upset. He didn't express it much but he was always honest with you. "It's not like we'll never see each other again," you said. "We can visit during breaks and call and text every day!"
"You're gonna start to find me annoying," he said. "I already do so there's no need to worry." You heard him laugh on his end. "I'm really gonna miss you though." "I'll miss you too, but this university is amazing, you can't not go."
