Though Marliegh Conklin is a Kook, her life is nothing close to perfect. Through every wave that comes her way, she relies on the love of her darling Pogues to keep her afloat, all until the death of her mother forces her family to move back to the mainland, leaving behind many wounds and questions which Marleigh is forced to revisit when she returns to the island the summer before her Junior year. When a summer filled with an unexpected treasure hunt and a possible not-so-new relationship comes barreling her way, she must figure out how to keep floating through the waves.
