“Where are we going?”

Becky looked outside the car as Freen drives them to somewhere she doesn’t know. The girl just picked her up earlier and asked her to go out with her.

Freen smiled at the girl on her passenger seat, “You’ll see.” She grinned and Becky couldn’t help but smile at the sight. Freen looks so happy right now and Becky could only hope it would stay that way.

Her sight went back to the view outside, watching the trees zoom out on their side as they passed by them. It was an unusual sight for her as it’s hard for her to go out and having to witness this scenery with her favourite person just makes it a lot better.

She just hopes to have a lot more days like this.

With Freen.

“You okay?” Freen glanced at her, one hand leaving the steering wheel to grabbed the vice president’s hand and squeeze it.

Becky squeezed back, “Yeah,” she says intertwining their hands before letting it settle on her lap, “Just thinking.”

Freen throw her a short glance, “Something good, I hope.”

“Yeah, don’t worry.”

The dancer nodded understandingly not wanting to pressure the girl. Of course, Freen would be worried especially after the events that happened during their trip a few days ago. She couldn’t help but get worried after learning Becky’s condition. It would always be in her mind, scared that something would go wrong and would hurt Becky.

And God knows how much Freen hates that. She doesn’t want Becky to get hurt. And if it’s possible, if just the gods would let her she would want to get hurt instead of Becky. She couldn’t imagine that imagine the pain the girl would experience every time her disease would make itself known. God, she doesn’t want to imagine that.

“Are we there yet?” Becky broke her thoughts, “I’m starving, Freen.” She whined and Freen chuckled.

She smiles, “Just a bit more, Bec.”

Becky pouted on her seat; kind of blaming herself for not having her breakfast because of too much excitement she felt when Freen messaged her early this morning about the trip. She just couldn’t stop herself from feeling all giddy because she can finally spend time with Freen alone without their annoying friends.

“Hey, we’re here.”

Freen squeezed her hand before letting go as they parked just right in front of the place. She looked outside before following the dancer out of the car and a cold breeze immediately welcomes her.

She scans the area and saw a few families spending time together under the trees, some are couples walking hand in hand, and there are also group of friends busy playing on the green grass.

Feeling the sudden warmth in her chest, she looked at the girl in front of her, “We’re in a park.” Becky says, as if it wasn’t obvious the first place.

Freen chuckled at the wide eyes the vice president is sporting on her face, “We are just like what you want. We can rent some bike and explore the place.” Freen approached the other woman before intertwining their hands, “We have all the time today. No school works, council works, and trainings. Today, it’s just you and me.”

“No annoying friends.”

Freen looked at her, “No annoying friends.”

And they proceed to the nearest bike rental to rent a tandem bike with Becky choosing the purple one. After signing some needed contract on the shop, they are off with Freen sitting on the front and Becky behind her.
