Part 17: The Album

I jolt awake, a nightmare of Me and Billie never talking again because she cheated on me, woke me up. I look down to see my naked girlfriend still snoring laying on my chest and feel a sense of relief. Looking over at the clock, I have a few hours and then it's another studio session day. I admire my girlfriend's features, she is perfect in every way. One of the most beautiful things I've seen. I shimmy myself out from under her and replace myself with a pillow. I make myself some toast quickly and enter my home studio writing a few lyrics down inspired by Billie.

9:10 am

I get dress into comfy clothes and go into my room seeing Billie still asleep. I sit next to her and gently rub up and down her back.

"Baby wake up, I've got to go" I say softly

"5 more minutes" she murmurs

"You can stay in bed all you like my love but I've got to go" I take my hand off her back and stand up. She sits up and I throw her a T-shirt from the dresser, throwing it at her. I watch as, she lazily gets up to go into the bathroom.

"Y/N Y/L/N come here right now" I hear, so I cautiously go into the bathroom. When I enter she looks mad. "What the fuck is this" she says pointing to her neck covered in hickeys.

"That wasn't me" I shrug laughing a little but immediately stopping when she gives me a stern look. "You must have fallen" I say innocently

"You are so dead" she replies

"I didn't hear you complaining last night" I slowly back out the bathroom "Going to the studio love you baby byeeee" I shout running down the stairs.

"Yeah love you too idiot" I hear faintly as I run out the door

I have a leisurely drive over to Graysons and I am greeted by a very cheerful pair in the studio.

"Come on Y/N let's finish this album" River says

"Ok so this morning I wrote some lyrics down and mapped out some chords" I explain. Driving up the gain in my guitar, and turning to Grayson I say "you wanted something more challenging and think this is it".

I play the chorus I wrote for them which both of them instantly loved.

We spent the next few hours writing lyrics and recording. Once the song is finished, we listen back to the beat and scream along. This is gonna be hard for Grayson to sing on tour.

With our final song complete, the rest of the day is filled with mastering the album to a point that we're happy. With under a month until the release date, we have time to alter it but for now we can finish it and send it over to Sarah for review.

Somehow 10 am turns to 6pm and we're finally done for today, we send the songs over in the completed order to Sarah and decide to head out for dinner.

We head to a fancy restaurant, just the three of us, to celebrate finishing our album that we've ate slept and breathed the past 4 months.

"To us" I say holding up my wine glass to which the boys cheers. "I cannot believe we've done that in such a short time"

"I know but we've worked hard and made something great. We're not off the hook though, we have album release, another music video, tour in 3 months. Everything is very rushed but I guess that's what we asked for" Grayson says

After talking about the album for a bit more and the coming months. We post a few photos to social media. As I post them I see a text from Sarah in our shared chat

I send a photo back of us all sporting a cheesy grin with a thank you message to accompany it.

"So River how's your fiancé" I say wiggling my eyebrows

"Cannot wait to get married, I think we're going venue hunting on tour. But that cat you've bought, has taken over my space on the bed. She cuddles that stupid cat every night" River jokes

"Shut up you love that cat it's all over your instagram" Grayson replies "How's Billie Y/N"

"We had a fight last night, but it's all good now" I say

"What happened" Grayson asks

"When I was at Rivers, mia found a video of Billie being really close to one of her friends. Odessa, I've never met her and I already don't like her. We've talked it out" I explain

"You haven't made your relationship public yet ,why?" River questions

"She wanted to wait until I've met her parents which is in 2 days. I'm nervous" I say

"Y/N? Nervous? You must really like her" Grayson laughs patting my back

"I really think I do" I say to him

"It's about time you joined the relationship club" River says "Is there a ring for Emma soon Grayson?" River asks in teasing tone.

"We've only been dating 2 years, not all of us can be childhood sweethearts. Y/N what about you, marriage soon, lesbians move fast" Grayson jokes

"We have literally just said love you, we've only been offically dating for about 3 months. Maybe it's time to have a baby" I laugh.
