"Ah, Jiminie, I realized on my way here, guess what day it is!" Yoongi's excited voice rings through the room, enthusiastic steps approaching Jimin – who was at the piano – quickly before wrapping his arms around Jimin's shoulders from the back, grinning widely.

Surprised, Jimin just raises his eyebrows, unsure of what Yoongi was referring to. "What...?"

With a laugh, Yoongi drops his head down to look at Jimin's face from the side, smile wide and adorable. "It's the anniversary of our lessons!"

It took a second for Jimin to process it, and then he's grinning, too.

"You're right! It's been exactly a year!"

Giggling happily, the both of them get properly seated on the chair, minds reminiscing the first day.

"If I remember correctly, you smiled at the piano but didn't smile at me–" Jimin points out, drawing out a dramatic response from Yoongi.

"What? How could I?" he says, gasping comically, "Me, being rude to the Park Jimin? The piano prodigy? How dare I–?"

Jimin laughs loudly, nudging Yoongi playfully - but he almost ends up falling off the chair.

"Yah, Jimin, don't push me off. Just because you're good at piano, now, doesn't mean you get the spotlight all on yourself, now," Yoongi jokes, laughing as he re-balances himself.

This makes Jimin laugh even harder, face brightened up in the happiest he's ever looked. They both are radiating joy, loving the comfort of each other's presence that grew over the year.

"Hyung, you know, when I was waiting for you that day, I actually thought you'd be like an old-ass man with white hair and wrinkled face. Like a grandpa. Not that you're any different, though–"

This receives Jimin a light smack on the waist, followed by laughter from both sides.

"Well, when your mom told me about you, I thought you were some stupid kid in like your young teen years. I wasn't expecting an actual stupid kid, looking like a young-teen instead of actually being one–" Yoongi laughs at the jaw drop that Jimin gave. Then, the latter drops the scandalized face and gives Yoongi a dirty look.

"You literally just called me a genius a few minutes ago, and now you're back to calling me stupid?" Jimin asks, sighing in mock-disappointment.

"That's how I work," Yoongi replies, giving back a mocked smug look.

Then, they both break into grins, leaning into each other's warmth.

"Now, for our anniversary, I want you to play me the song you gave me," Yoongi requests, sounding like an excited kid about to open a big present.

"I literally played you that yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that–"

Yoongi shrugs the words off, shaking his head cutely.

"I'll never get tired of hearing it, okay? Just play it – for me."

With a soft expression, Jimin gets his hands ready to play the song, the one he gave Yoongi as a present on his birthday.

"That's good. I'll never get tired of playing it for you."

omg it's been a YEAR
A YEAR SINCE THIS BOOK STARTED T^T and not much long before it ends. i'll miss updating this book later on
but for now, we're fine, we have a handful of chapters still left lol

also lol i was supposed to update on jun 3 bUt i got too busy T_T

also guys, sorry if there are mixes of past tense in here. i'm writing kmotl 3 (which is in past tense) and i'm getting confused XD but i'm getting better at switching between the two

and omg there's this other fic i've literally been wanting to write for a YEAR it's been almost a YEAR since i got the idea for it and i still haven't had the time to plan it. after i finish writing kmotl 3, don't expect other books (except this one) to update because i'll probably be busy with that book XD since i really need to give it attention. otherwise, it could be too late to write it
