and i shouted until my legs gave out, "oh juliet, why don't you love me?" and instead of getting a response, i was left in silence. there was no romeo, i always have. there was no maybe one day, i will. there was only white noise eating at my eardrums, drilling into the cavity of my chest. and i wondered if i would ever love again.
