And Back To Dust You Shall Return

Ever since I was young

I longed for a world that was made of peace that marched together as one.

Where children could sleep safely in their home.
Where the animals can safely roam.

I want to be with you in this world, away from all the sadness.
So we can live together in happiness.

The sun would shine on our faces in the summer.
And the snow would fall on our shoulders in the winter.

This reality exists in only one place, my imagination.
Because the real world isn't this way at all, it's a cold and dark abomination.

My worst fear is this world, not a fear of it but a fear that it will take you.
That I will be left alone as the world has swallowed up the last bit of light. And then from there I would dive into the waves of blue.

Just to be with you once again.
And then maybe that world, the world that resides in my imagination, will be on the other side and the world we know will be cast away like dust.
And with that, we die happily ever after in this imaginary world, that is waiting for us.

Ecclesiastes 3:20 "All go unto one place; all are from the dust, and to dust all return."
