I can't fathom how someone
as amazing as you,
could love someone like me.
Your soul is pure and good,
You have opened your eyes to see,
A world full of destruction and poverty.
But even now, after seeing the cold truth, you are able to see the light of day through the blackened clouds.
You have heard the cry of your
brothers and sisters.
You have walked into the cities and through the maddening crowds.
And yet still,
You rise up from the blackness
that once consumed you.
I love you, because even in
the darkest of hours,
You are capable of warming
My heart in the cold night of blue.
So keep doing what your doing,
Because every day my heart longs,
Just for a little bit longer with you.
