Tony

I was surprised when Peter suddenly spoke. All though it was a bit reassuring because it probably meant he was only to nervous to speak to new people. Which was something he did as a little boy.

-We came for you, I answered and locked eyes with Peter.

-What Tony means is that we have reasons to believe that.....you are our son, Steve said.

*What!? For real? Are you sure? Maybe you got the wrong address. There's a lot of other Peters in New York* Peter signed.

-But not as many can climb walls and hides their suit in the vent, I said and glanced at the vent.

-We know this is a lot to take in. But we hoped that maybe.....you'd like to come back to us.

*This is all theoretical. Do you have any actual proof that I'm that Peter?*

I shared a look with Steve. There's always blood tests I guess. The question is just if Peter is willing to do that.

-Peter you don't happen to have an old red and blue with web pattern hoodie from when you were a kid? Steve asked

What is he talking about? Why would that matter if Peter has a...oohh...smart. Peter looked at Steve confused and then shrugged his shoulders.

*I can ask May* He signed and stood up from the bed.

We followed him out to the kitchen where May seemed to be making dinner. She turned around when she heard us enter the kitchen. Peter signed something that I didn't quite see and understand.

-Hm.....I think it's in the storage a few blocks away. But I think...., May said and didn't finish her sentence before she left the kitchen.

She walked into the living room and soon came back with a photo. In the photo was her and a man and Peter as a little boy with the hoodie Steve described. Peter looked at the photo and then at May.

-It was taken the day after you came to us. Why are you asking about that hoodie? May asked.

Peter continued staring at the photo for a second or two before he turned around towards us. He put the photo under his arm.

*You gave me that?* he signed.

-No. I'm pretty sure you got that one from your aunt Natasha. She used to call you her baby spider, Steve explained.

-You wore that the day you disappeared from us, I said.

-So what do you say Pete? Do you wanna come back? Steve asked.

Peter smiled and looked back at May who just stood awkwardly in the corner. When Peter then turned back to us he wasn't smiling anymore.

*Can I think about it?* He asked.

-Sure. Take your time. I'll make a few arrangements at the tower. So just swing by someday..... even if you haven't decided.....you know....just to maybe....talk? I said awkwardly.

*Yeah* Peter signed and then seemed to think a little. *Sure*

-You can come by at any time. Friday can open the door for you if you come by late, Steve said.

-Well....uh we better get going. The others are waiting back home, I said

-Oh you're leaving? Please stay for dinner, May said.

I looked at Steve we shrugged his shoulders. Then I glanced at Peter.

-No we don't wanna intrude, I said.

-Oh it's no worries. We got enough food for everyone.

-Well....are you okay with it? Steve asked and looked at Peter.

Peter smiled and nodded.

*May's food is amazing. Trust me, you don't wanna miss out on it*

-I guess we're staying for dinner then, I said.

Peter

We all sat around the table eating dinner together. I would've excepted the tension to be super awkward. And sure the first 30 seconds of the dinner was like that. But then May broke the ice and now we were all enjoying each other's company as well as for May's lasagna. It was actually going pretty great. Until Steve, Tony and May started talking about my childhood. Not only was it embarrassing for me but I also felt guilty. Of course, I would love to live with Steve and Tony. They have been my heroes for as long as I can remember. But I don't wanna leave May. She's the one that raised me. I can't just leave her like that.

-.....and I thought she had failed and had fallen asleep on the floor. Turns out she had built not only the crib but also a desk and a wardrobe. And she was in the middle of the room cleaning everything up, Tony said and we all laughed.

*Kinda sounds like one of my friends. She would totally have done that* I signed.

-Really, is this someone a girlfriend? Tony smirked.

*Nah. But she's a really close friend*

Steve was about to ask me something when someone knocked on the door. I signed a quick "I'll get it" to the adults and hurried to the door. It was probably just ms. Carter who needed to borrow the vacuum again. I opened the door and almost jumped up in surprise when I saw Wade stand outside the door.

-Hi ba-.....

I didn't let Wade finish instead I smashed my hand on his mouth so he would shut up and then I forced him outside where I closed the door behind us. Then I stopped covering Wade's mouth.

-I think I need glasses. It looked like Iron Man and Captain America were having dinner with your aunt, Wade said.

-T-they are, I said a bit unsure.

-What?

-I-it's complicated. Why are you here? I asked.

-MJ asked me to drop off your decathlon team jacket, Wade said and held up the yellow jacket I had accidentally ripped last week.

-Thank you, I said as Wade handed me the jacket.

-You're welcome. So what's the deal with the superheroes in your apartment?

-Uuugghh.....it's a long story. I'll tell you and the others on our next DnD session.

-Fine. But I think a knight in a shiny armor deserves a kiss from prince charming for dropping off that jacket, Wade smirked.

I stared at him and felt my face turn into planet tomato. It was so embarrassing blushing this much I had to look anywhere else than at Wade. I decided the floor was the next best place to look at.

-O-or not. A hug is just fine......or a fistbump, Wade said a little nervous.

I smiled. Sure he acts all cocky and flirty all the time. But as soon as he thinks I'm not aboard with it, he stops. Slowly I looked up at Wade. He gave me his usual warm smile and I took a step closer to give him a hug. Wade hugged me back and I couldn't help but enjoy the feeling of being safe in his arms.
