Merlin and I sat at the breakfast table in silence, the sound of fire crackling filling the silence.
"Help yourselves to breakfast," Gaius stated, placing two bowls of porridge in front of us.
"Thank you," I kindly said, Gaius nodded with a smile.
"You two can help me until I find some paid work for you to do," Gaius explained, walking over to a cabinet and pulling out a few vials, "Merlin...I want you to deliver these for me. Hollyhock and feverfew for Lady Percival. Nightwater for Sir Olwin. He's as blind as a weevil so warn him not to take it all at once."
"Okay," Merlin nodded.
"And for you Rae," He hands me a list that was sitting on the table, "I need you to go get these things for me please."
"Of course," I said with a smile, accepting the list.
I quickly got dressed, pulling my hair back away from my face, allowing a few strands to fall. I then put on a little makeup.
With a quick glance in the mirror, I head out, bringing a small basket along with me to hold the items Gaius asked for.
I left the castle and headed to the market, my head held high in hopes to see over the large crowd surrounding me. Yet, it did no good, so I made my way through, trying my hardest not to run into anyone. Once at the market, I began my search for herbs and plants, moving from one stand to another. Over time I found the things I was looking for. I quickly paid for the items and made my way back to Gaius's. Yet I was stopped by a loud commotion. Curious, I made my way over to the source. What I found didn't surprise me.
