In Team 7

Chapter 1

The Academy

"Today we are going to make three-member teams." Naruto wasn’t listening.

"Because you've all graduated, it's time to start completing missions."

"I hope I will be with Sasuke-kun, heheh." Sakura giggled and looked at Sasuke in love.

"Tss." Naruto glared at them.

"You are so mean, Sasuke-chan!"

"Do you want to fight, idiot?!" said Sasuke. Naruto approached him and looked at him intently. Then someone tripped over the desk and pushed Naruto.

"Ahhhh!!!" yelled girls when they saw it.

"N-Naruto-kun?" Hinata saw Naruto kissing Sasuke. Naruto immediately pulled out and coughed in disgust. Sasuke too.

"How dare you?!" Sakura looked at Naruto with hatred.

"Uhh, enough! Now I will announce the selected teams." Everyone looked at Iruka.

"Team 10, Yamanaka Ino, Nara Shikamaru and Haruno Sakura!"

"Huh?! I’m in a team with her?!" both yelled.

"Sensei, shouldn’t we be Ino-Shika-Cho?" asked annoyed Shikamaru.

"Your parents didn't insist on it, and Hokage-sama decided it will be the best."

"Uhh, what a drag."

"Sakura-chan...!" Naruto was upset about it.

"Team 8, Akimichi Choji, Aburame Shino, Inuzuka Kiba!"

"Wait, Choji?! He’s pretty weak and Shino?! He’s pretty arrogant."

"And you are pretty annoying, Kiba," said Shino.

"Uhh, that’s what I’m talking about," said Kiba.

"I would rather be with Shikamaru…"

"No complaints! It’s Hokage-sama's decision!" They were silent.

"Team 7, Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke-."

"Uhh, why such a great student like me should be in a team with this loser?!"

"Naruto! You were the worst in the class and Sasuke was the best!"

"You heard him, idiot," said Sasuke. Naruto grinned at him.

"So Team 7, Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke and Hyuuga Hinata."

"I-I will be with Naruto-kun?!" Hinata was nervous about it.

…

"That’s all! You will meet your jonin tomorrow," said Iruka and finished his lesson.

"Sasuke, I hope you won’t get in my way!"

"I could say the same about you."

"W-well, I'm looking forward to our cooperation!" said nervously Hinata and bowed her head.

"Count on it, Hinata!" said Naruto, but Sasuke ignored Hinata.

"Oi, Sasuke, don’t be so rude!"

"You have no right to tell me what I should do," said Sasuke and left.

"Uhh, don’t mind him, he’s always like this." Naruto turned to Hinata, but she wasn’t there.

"Where did she go?" Hinata hid behind the wall.

"This is too much," she thought.

Next day was their meeting with their jonin.

"Kakashi, I will guide you through the residence of your students."

"Is it important?"

"Kakashi, you know why I gave you these two, don’t you?"

"Of course, but why Hyuuga Hinata?"

"Hmm, maybe you know about her clan. Her father is too strict and she’s failing in making him proud. He gave up on her and let her to become a genin. You can say he disinherited Hinata."

"Disinherited?!"

"We'll visit him later."

"I understand what you are saying, but why she is in Team 7?"

"She’s too unconfident and shy. And Naruto is too confident and social. I think she’ll grow stronger in his presence."

"So this is the reason. But why are you so sure about it?"

"That's my faith."

"I hope you are right."
