If you really did love me

We left the classroom and walked in silence back to my dorm. I stood outside the door staring in curiosity at the painting. I hadn't taken any time to appreciate the perfection of the picture and how it seemed tailored to my mind. It was a black canvas with swirls of grey and gold brushed through it. There was a small princess in a large black tower that seemed to blend into the night. Little lights seemed to flicker on and off in the distance and the princess would stare at them, scowling and she paced her tower. In the tower there was two men bickering. The princess didn't spare a glance for them. "Granger open the fucking door" Malfoy growled.

"Vivamus per dolorem" I grumbled at my portrait watching the door fling open.

Malfoy threw his bag and my couch and slumped into a chair, waiting for me to enter. I left my bags carefully at the entrance and hurried into Professor Dumbledore's room. "Ahh, Miss Granger, please do come in" he mumbled.

I smiled weakly before sticking my head out of the door. "Get your ass in here" I hissed to Malfoy before popping back in the room to see a smirking Professor Dumbledore. I shivered, it was not a natural sight.

Malfoy walked into the room and leaned against the wall tracing me with his eyes. I moved away from him self consciously as he stepped closer to me. "Move Granger. I want to get to Professor Dumbledore" he smirked.

Asshole

Language Granger

Shove off Malfoy, I don't need your sodding help

Ah, but Miss Granger I need his, how did you put it, sodding help

The voice of Professor Dumbledore broke into our exchange and I stumbled backward, flushing red. Professor Dumbledore smirking and swearing, I shook my head. I must have messed something up. I watched Professor Dumbledore and the twinkle in his eye and Malfoy brushed past me his elbow moving past my stomach, touching bare skin where my top had ridden up, I shivered and stepped away. "Do you have any medicine" Malfoy asked Professor Dumbledore in a cautious voice.

He nodded towards the medicine behind me and I handed them to Malfoy, watching him work.

If possible Malfoy looked almost as bad as me. He had deep, dark circles under his eyes, marks of restless nights. His skin was gaunt and pale and looked stretched against his bones. He was thin and looked sick in an attractive way. Much like Tom Riddle all the paleness seemed to suit him more than ever. "I know I'm attractive but stop staring" he growled.

"As if I would" I scoffed before stepping closer to him and Professor Dumbledore.

"He needs to rest" I whispered after pulling Malfoy away by his elbows for a few seconds.

"Yeah and he also needs constant supervision. His blood pressure is teetering to low and he has a concussion. Don't heal that! There's a block, a magic block. It's making sure that magical healing won't help. Merlin knows how you brought him back in the first place with a block like that" he hissed, pulling away.

I gasped. "Who-what. How?" I murmured in confusion.

Malfoy shrugged and left me to sit by Professor Dumbledore. "Sleep Professor, please. You need rest" he whispered gently.

We left the room, closing the door behind us. "Classes are on rotation anyhow so we'll take turns staying with him for the day." Malfoy announced after we left the dorm.

"I can't do that" I hissed, pulling Malfoy into an empty hallway as Harry and Ron rounded the corner. "They have a map that sees where anyone is in Hogwarts. They can't see him don't worry." I said.
