I wake up in Dean's arms, looking at his sleepy face, making me never want to leave. He was lying on his back, allowing me to see the full view of his perfect abdominal muscles. I lightly trace my fingertips over his muscles, admiring his physique.

Unfortunately, I had to go back home today. Dean and I decided we would tell Keith about our relationship before we went home.

I wake Dean up and we share a few sweet moments, but they stop as soon as I see my phone light up.

Keith: I tried to cover for you but mom and dad saw your car missing.

Dammnit.

Although I was and adult, I still lived under my parents roof which meant I was still a child to them.

I say a few curses under my breath as I gather my things, running back to Dean's bed where I give him a quick peck on the lips.

"I'll see you in a little bit!" I say frantically as I run out of his house to my car. Luckily the hotel wasn't even a minute away.

Dean had arranged for breakfast with Keith and I before we head back home. This is when we are going to break the news about our relationship. After that, everything should be a piece of cake!

"Athena, where have you been?" I hear my mom call out as I see her and my dad sitting on the sofa in the lobby. My brother comes out of the elevator with both our suitcases, making an annoyed face at me.

"You're the best!" I run up to him, giving him a quick hug while I take my suitcase from him.

"Sorry! I had to go to the store to get uh, girl products." I say knowing that would make my dad immediately lose interest in the conversation. And just as I suspected, both my dad and brother winced at my statement.

"So y'all are going to go get breakfast with Dean and then head back home." My dad asked Keith and I.

"Yeah, are y'all heading back now?" I ask them and they answer back nodding their heads at me.

We checked out of the hotel and went out to the parking lot where Keith put my suitcase and his duffle bag in the trunk of my car. My mom and dad head home as Keith and I head to our favorite breakfast place.

"So, did you have fun with your friends last night?" Keith asks me filling the silence in the car.

"Yeah, maybe a little too much fun!" I play along still knowing he will find out what actually happened when Dean and I tell him everything.

We share a few laughs and arrive at the restaurant. "Let me see if Dean is here." Keith says while picking up his phone. I look around the parking lot, spotting his big truck. "Oh, there he is!" I point out.

"How do you know what truck he drives?" He asks me raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, I uh- I saw it last night when he drove home from his game!" I played it off quite well, earning a nod from Keith.

We all meet at the front door of the restaurant, greeting each other as if I wasn't just in his bed. We walk in the restaurant and grab a booth.

I sit next to Keith as I see Dean frown for a split second, but he quickly regains composure. We order our drinks and scan the menu, already knowing what I want. I tend to be a picky eater so I always order something I've had before that I know is good.

Dean and I share a few facial expressions implying that one of us needs to start the dreaded conversation. Luckily Keith doesn't notice because he is too busy looking at the menu.

"So, Keith..." I say with a big smile on my face. That was a huge flaw of mine. Every time I had to break news to someone, good or bad, I smiled. It was a coping mechanism that helped me lighten the mood for myself and hopefully the others around me. I was not good with bad news.
