Elizabeth's POV
The next day as I push through the double doors. I glanced over at the Cullen table, and smile when I make eye contact with Edward, who's sitting with his siblings, he smiled back at me.

I then join Eric, Jessica, Mike, Bella. and Angela. Everyone seems to sit as far away from her as possible. I drops my book bag on a seat and Eric speaks up first "La Push, baby. You in?" Bella bluntly asks "Should I know what that means?" Everyone ignores her making her scowl. I then ask " You mean La Push beach? Down on the Quileute rez?" Mike nods and explains "We're all going there tomorrow there's supposed to be a big swell coming in."

"And I don't just surf the internet" Eric says and Jessica rolls her eyes and says "Eric, you stood up once. On a foam board" Mike laughs and wraps his arm around Jessica making her light up. Angela speaks up and immediately catches my attention "There's whale watching, too. Come with" my face flushes, but that disappears when Eric starts chanting "La Push, baby. It's La Push, La Push" I give him a look and say " I'll go if you stop saying that" then walk off the the salad bar.

I'm artfully designing an architectural fruit salad.

As I reaches for an apple to cut up and add to my master piece. Edward is suddenly next to me "Edible art....?" He asks amused, I let out a gasp and jumped startled by his sudden appearance. I then fumble and drops the apple Edward catches it with his foot, hackeysack style, then bounces it back into his hand, the red of the apple, stark against his pale skin. He presents it to me with small smile.
