I was thinking tonight
That I'm not sure
If hearts
Are capable of
Fully breaking
After all, my heart breaks
Nearly every day
Yet she has yet
To totally stop loving
I have yet
To totally stop
Existing
And at this point,
I don't think I will.
I think my heart
May break forever,
But I don't know if it'll
Truly stop
... though,
There may be one exception to this rule
I think loss,
The loss of something, or someone,
You were never supposed to lose-
A child, a lover, a parent-
May be
So grievous
It breaks
And stops
The human heart
