I have a messy life
And honestly
I'm okay with this messy life
A mess life to me
Is a beautifully chaotic thing
A messy life is some early nights
Sleeping by 12 to wake up at 6
A messy life is some stupid nights
Staying up till 4:45
and waking up at 10
A messy night is some wild nights
Out laughing, smelling like fire
Dancing under the cold stars
With ones I love till 2
A messy life is odd food
Korean Kimchi
Japanese sushi
Canada's P-O-U-T-I-N-E
Heck even some American fries
Food was never meant to be
Salad, soup and burgers
Live for a messy variety
Life is messy
With messy people
Wild besties who make me
forget to be serious
Who drive me mad with giggles
Adventurous Canadians
Who fill me
with the occasional rage
But give me memories more adventurous than I'd ever dreamt
Brilliant girls with sleek lioness' hair
Who teach me
the meaning of grace
Of self-respect and outward love
Who challenge me to work harder
Indeed, life is messy
Filled with messy people
Messy food
Messy nights
But it's a good type of messy
Maybe I'm not as orderly
As I had hoped to be
But I'm as happy
And as messy
As I have ever dreamed
Of being
