My birthday

Life is hope
And life is war
Life is pain
But I want more
I want more of something good
Something kind
And something sweet
Something that will give me joy and fill me up with peace
I am tired of the hopelessness
I'm tired of feeling others pain
Today is my birthday
And it will not be used for others gain
Today I will be happy
Today will be quite good
If you try to prove me wrong
Well... I really doubt that you should
Today is my birthday and today will be kind
Today is a good day
Because today the day is mine
People will leave me be,
Will let me alone

It's written in stone
