CHAPTER 5 (ADRIAN)

I was walking into my house with Nick when I heard Stephen talking with someone and the moment I saw the person Stephen was talking to I froze.

It was her, the girl from Stephen's class, the girl with most beautiful brown eyes, the girl who was living in my head rent free form last week and I hate her for that but I hate myself more. It was 'HAZEL.' She was smiling at Stephen, and when she saw me and Nick she smiled at Nick too....but she only looked at me once and then ignored me. I don't know why it angered me but it did. I hated her more for ignoring me.
My grandfather's voice got me out of my thoughts. And besides he was Jason Winter.
My Grandfather ordered Nick to send Stephen back home and he nodded. Stephen said that he'll see her at the graduation ceremony and bid his goodbye and walked out.
Few moments later Jason told my grandfather that he will also be taking his leave and my grandfather nodded he started to walk towards the exit and Hazle also started to follow him but suddenly my grandfather said " Where do you think you're going girl?" And I looked at him in confusion.
Hazel also seemed confused and he told her that she will be staying here from now on and when she refused he ordered me to stop her and I did.
I grab her wrist tightly and looked at her in confusion.
Jason (her father) said to do anything we want with her and she started crying and begging him to not to leave her here alone. And at the sight of watching her crying somthing twisted inside my heart. She cried and begged him and struggled to free herself form me. I was looking at her struggling figure but heard Jason blaming her for everything that has gone wrong in her life called her the biggest curse of his life and told her that he traded her for money. And I felt her movement stop, she was looking at her father in disbelief tears were streaming form her eyes but she wasn't begging him to take her back or struggling to free herself.
Jason walked out  and I was planning 100 ways to torture him before killing him. Because I hate him I know I don't have a reason to hate him but do now so intensely.

I was still in my thoughts when I felt her falling, she fainted 'damn it' I cursed internally and picked her in bridal style and started walking towards one of the guest rooms when my grandfather said "She not a guest, she's a slave. Give her to one of the guards they'll take her to the servents quarters."
I looked at the the innocent girl in my arms and then at my grandfather " Don't fucking call her that again. And no one touches her." I roared in anger and took her the guest rooms and tucked her in the covers.

I came out of the guest room and ordered one of the maid to call the doctor and walked towards my home office where my grandfather was waiting.
"What the hell is going on?" As asked my grandfather angrily as I entered my office. When I looked at him I saw an amused look at his face. "That girl is Jason's daughter and since he couldn't return our money he sold her to us."
I clenched my fist in anger 'I'm gonna give him worst death ever' I decided internally.
"What do you plan to do with her?" I asked him with a straight face " For now she will be staying here mostly doing household. I haven't kind of decided anything for her but I'll let you know when I do." He said and walked out of my office. And I walked towards the window and closed my eyes In frustration but all saw is her crying tear stricken face which angered me more. Just then I heard a knock and one of the maid informed me that doctor is here to see Hazel.

I entered the room where I put Hazel and saw doctor examining her.

After few minutes he turned to me and said "There's nothing wrong with her physically, she might have fainted because of mental stress. I suggest you to make sure don't take anymore stress. And take proper rest atleast for two days." Hearing him I nodded and he gave me the prescription for her medicine and walked out but I stayed there looking at her innocent face  that makes me want to protect her from everything and that thought angered me more. I need to stay away from her as far as possible.

Three hours later I heard a knock on my room and one of the servents informed me that Hazel was awake and crying badly hearing the servent I put my shirt on and walked towards hazel's room.
