"over there!" I shouted at Tash due to how loud the music was.

She took my hand and we both walked over to the bartender for drinks. I chose my shots as usual and she took her rum cream.

I giggled at Tash's judgemental glare that was directed toward the man who was soaked in sweat probably from dancing.

Tash and I just sat and enjoyed the vibe casually taking sips from our drinks after I finished my shots remembering the last time.

Well, a few of Tash's begs and pleads and chore exchanges did the trick. Plus partying was something I liked.

Our conversation was interrupted by the guy who invited her to the dance floor.

Which left me here by myself which by the way was starting to get tipsy.

"Hi," a voice boomed from behind me. Taking a seat next to me I saw the stranger. He was HOT. And guess what? He wasn't black. (she just got excited to see a guy from another race hitting on her guys)  He had pale white skin and was a brunette with brown eyes and multiple tattoos on his muscular right arm.

"Hi," I answered back not being able to help the smile that crept onto my face.
Next week is gonna make six months since my ex-boyfriend and I broke up. After that, all the excitement in my life went through the window.

"Can I get you a drink?" He asked as a charming smile overtook his features.
In my state, that's all he had to do and I was charmed.

"Sure" I replied and kept the smile lingering on my lips. Finally!

"How has your night been?"

"It's been good are you gonna make it better?" he chuckled at my question.

" Definitely Jada" he answered his smile mirroring mine. My smile disappeared after his sentence and my stomach began to feel sick. I searched the crowd for Tash but she was nowhere to be found.

"H-how you know mi name?" he chuckled

"your friend yelled at you a thousand times. Your name specifically. I've been watching you for a while now. How else would I know your name, Jada?" he asked smile never leaving his face. Oh. Phew

"oh," I answered chuckling awkwardly.

"Thank you," I said accepting the drink he bought for me from the bartender.
"what's your name?"

"Steven" he answered sipping his drink.

I scanned the crowd once more and again, Tash was nowhere to be found. What?

"Steven, umm my friend gonna look" I was unable to form a proper sentence I couldn't think straight. Worry began to settle at the pit of my stomach. I was starting to get hot.

Instead of enjoying the music like before, with every beat my head throbbed. Tears of frustration gathered in my eyes. Where was Tash? Why am I feeling like this?

Weariness took over and blinking one last time my world went dark.

My eyes squinted due to how hard my head was hurting and my throat felt like 2 big buckets of sand were poured down it.

I was in bed. A bed that wasn't mine. I realized after ruffling the silk sheets under my fingers.

Where is Tash? My breathing got heavier and my eyes burned as tears pricked them. I want my mom.
