"We have a reservation for 9 people" Maya said to the man in a coat
"You sure it's okay? I mean we can pay..." I say but Maya just shut me "Sorry, Maya. But I feel guilty"
Apparently, we're spending our Christmas gathering in a pretty expensive restaurant... and to top it off, Maya is treating us!
"It's okay guys. Besides, it's my uncle's!" She gave as peace sign. Well, cant argue with Maya
"Knowing how hungry she is-AHHH!" And, again, Rex got pummeled
:"Ahh! Man-Man! I've been waiting!" Then an old Tiger came coming here. It seems like it's Maya's Uncle but..
"Man-Man?" We said in sync
"That's just what my Uncle Dev calls me... Hehehe" She scratched her head
"Hohoho! She liked it when she was a wee girl!" her uncle teased which caused us to laugh
"YOU IDIOTS!!!" Maya then threw Rex to the window
"Why Me!?!?!?!?"
"Anyway... should we sit?" Tulio then sat to the table
"What impatience" Ivy then pecked his cheek
"Wha... Um... Wait! What did... Um... " Maya then stuttered
"Oh, we got together just yesterday" she then winked at Tulio which caused him to blush...
"shut up!"
"...cute..." Kou whispered
"Hmm... " Adam looked over the menu "This-!"
He looked like he saw a huge ghost. What is this? I looked at the menu and – HOLY SH*T!!
A pork tenderloin for $200, Salad for $100 and even Ice cream for $150!!
"hohoho! Expensive huh?" the old man just came again
"It is..." Kyle said
"I already prepared something for all you youngsters!" He winked "but it will have to wait. Just watch the entertainment!"
He then left for the kitchen
"Entertainment?" Riko Asked but Maya facepalmed herself
"Uncle forgot it's Saturday again..."
"What's on Saturday?" I asked
"The entertainers are off... the customers are hard to keep entertained this day" she added
"Then" Ivy stood up. "Ice, Rex, Riko, kyle... Let's go"
"sing huh?" I said
"Um... guys. It's okay!" Maya said
"Hey. Then consider this as our payment" Kyle said with a smile
"Hmm.. Well then let me tell my uncle"
A few moments later...
"Let's go!" We cheered and went on the stage.
"Umm... Good eve everyone! We're here to perform for you and I can see there are a lot of couples so let us sing: All I want for Christmas"
