Quality Brother-Bonding Time

William's Pov:

Tomorrow Harry deploys back to Afghanistan for 8 months and since tonight is his last night here we are going to spend some much needed quality time together before he deploys.

I got out of bed and dragged myself downstairs and to the kitchen and saw Kate making breakfast.

" Good morning. How are you feeling about what is going to take place tomorrow?" Kate asks me

" I am anxious. I know that I have had to do this before but the last time I had more time to prepare myself for the thought of my baby brother halfway across the world in a warzone. No matter how many times I have to say goodbye to Harry and watch him leave and know that he might not ever come back I don't think it will get any easier." I tell Kate

" I know you're scared for Harry but you have to remember that Harry is the best at what he does. He's bloody brilliant at it and if the MOD didn't believe he could do it they wouldn't be letting him deploy." Kate tells me

" I know." I tell her letting out a sigh

" Have some faith in Harry. He knows what he's doing." Kate tells me

I nod my head and we eat breakfast in silence.

After a few hours of waiting it is finally time for me to head over to Harry's.

I walk out the door after saying goodbye to Kate for the evening and walk across the courtyard to Harry's place and open the door to see Harry's Duffel bags and gear that he is taking with him to Afghanistan; packed and ready by the door.

" Harry, I'm here. Where are you?!" I call out to Harry

" Upstairs!!" I hear Harry yell

I walk upstairs and to Harry's bedroom and I see him standing shirtless in his bathroom shaving his face.

After a few minutes of watching Harry shave his face he finishes and slips a shirt over his well defined torso.

Harry and I walked downstairs and he walked to his kitchen.

" Would you like a beer?" Harry asks me

" Sure." I tell Harry

I watch as Harry pulls out a bottle of water and a beer out of the fridge.

" Why aren't you drinking?" I ask Harry, quizzically

" I have to be sober for tomorrow." Harry tells me and I nod my head

After a moment of comfortable silence I look towards Harry's packed bags and ask him the question I have been dying to ask him since I found out about him being deployed again.

" Are you scared?" I ask looking at Harry dead in the eyes

" About what?" Harry asks me

" Not coming home?" I ask him

Harry looks at me dead in the eyes.

" I'm terrified." Harry tells me honestly

" Why do you seem so calm?" I ask him

" I seem calm because this isn't my first deployment and the Apache is the safest helicopter but anything could go wrong with that machine." Harry tells me

" Promise me that you will be careful and that you will do everything in your power to come home?" I ask him

" I promise." Harry tells me wrapping me in a hug

" Promise me that if I don't come home that you take care of the family and that you will help Prince seesio keep sentebale going and that mutsue will finish his education and promise me that you will live your life to the fullest even if I can't?" Harry asks me choking up

" I promise." I tell Harry in tears

Harry and I pull away from each other and we look at each other when I decide to ask Harry another question.

" Why do you do this job? You could've done anything. Why this? Why join the army?" I ask Harry

" Your right. I could anything but I wanted but I do this job 1) because I love it but 2) so that no one else has to see what I have seen or no one has to go through what I have gone through." Harry tells me

" Aren't you scared about dying?" I ask him

" Yes and No." Harry tells me

" What do you mean 'Yes and No'?" I ask Harry

" I'm not scared of dying because if I die out there everyone will know that I died fighting for my country but I'm am scared of dying because I have so many things I haven't done yet." Harry tells me

After a moment of silence Harry looked at me.

" Promise me something?" Harry asks me

" Promise me that if I don't come home that you will accomplish every goal on my bucket list in case I don't home." Harry tells me

" I won't need to because you are going to come home." I tell Harry

" Will, Promise me. I don't know if I am going to come back home but if I don't I need you to promise me that." Harry tells me

" I promise." I tell Harry

After a while of talking with Harry we watch movies and play video games.

Harry and I are watching the third movie and it was halfway through when I looked over and saw Harry asleep on his couch.

After seeing Harry sleeping I start to drift off into a peaceful sleep knowing that for now at least Harry is okay and he is safe.
