Career Move

Harry's Pov:

It has been 4 months since the crash and my ribs are finally 100% healed.

Today I am meeting with my grandmother and grandfather and Pa and Camilla to tell them the decision that I have made regarding my career.

After eating and getting dressed I walk out of my place and get in my car and head towards granny's place.

After I arrive I park my car and get out and I see Pa and Camilla's car already there.

I walk inside and head towards granny's place.

After a few minutes of walking I arrive at granny's place and I knock on the door.

It opens and I see the maid and I nod towards her and walk towards the sitting room and I spot Pa, Camilla, Granny and grandpa sitting and drinking their tea.

I walk in and kiss my grandparents hello and sit across from My grandparents, My dad, And my wicked stepmother.

" Harry,  Would you like some tea?" Granny asks me

" Please?" I ask granny

Granny pours me some tea and after a few seconds granny goes right into the conversation of my career.

" Harry, It has been a few months since your accident, capture and torture. You are a grown man so I won't decide for you what to do with your career but I would like to know what would you like to do?" Granny asks me

" I don't want to be deployed on a standard deployment. I don't want to take an office job but I would like to remain in the army." I tell granny

" I was approached by the army saying that you were offered a position on the army spec ops team. Is that true?" Grandpa asks me

" Yes. It is true. I was offered the position while I was in Afghanistan after the attack but I told them that I would like to finish out my deployment and have some time to settle into civilian life before giving them an answer and they agreed." I tell them

" How many men would be on this team?" Pa asks me

" It would be a 5 man team." I tell him

" How many people on the team have combat experience?" Pa questions

" I would be the only one. Everyone else that has been selected for the team is straight out of Sandhurst." I tell them

" Have you given them an answer yet?" Granny asks me

" Yes. I have. I would still be in the army, I would end up being deployed on a mission but I would be back quicker than I was with my first 2 deployments, and I would get to do a job that I really love." I tell granny

" I support your decision." Granny tells me

" I have one request though regarding my career." I tell granny

" Of course. What is it?" granny asks me

" That the public only knows that I have decided to move away from active duty and onto a different role but I am still in the army. I don't want anyone other than the people that have to know knowing that I am on this team and that includes family." I tell granny

" I also want everyone to sign NDA's." I tell granny

" You have my word Harry. " granny tells me

" Harry, Why don't you want the family to know about this opportunity?" Pa asks me

" Because I have been around long enough to know that if everyone in the family knows they are more likely to spill their guts and I don't want that happening because if I am on a mission and word gets out that I am on that team it could put the entire team in danger." I tell Pa

" Why did you take this job if it so dangerous?" Pa asks me

" I don't care about the danger aspect of the job." I tell Pa

" Sounds like a death wish if you ask me." Camilla tells me

" I guess it's a good thing I didn't." I fire back at her

" Camilla, It is Harry's career to make decisions about. You don't have to like it but like it or not this has nothing to do with you." Grandpa tells Camilla

After a while longer of talking with Granny, Grandpa and Pa about this decision that I made for my career and explaining why I am choosing not to tell William about I finally had their approval well except for Camilla's but I didn't need or want her approval.

After talking with them I went home watched some TV, made dinner and went to bed because I have to report to a classified Army base for the Spec Ops team tomorrow.
