He then begins to talk to both of us, mistake, I mean he starts to talk to Nmesoma, me I'm just looking like a third wheel, when he finally goes, I turn Nmesoma around to face me

"That's his business abeg"

"Wait, so you are advising me to date someone like him?"

Okay, I'm not a bad friend or anything, I know I insulted the boy but a little matchmaking won't hurt

Yemisi insulted that boy ehn, but he needed it, when he asked me out I told him no because I didn't like him back, like at all, it wasn't even about him being fine or not, I just didn't like him, even if he was fine, I still wouldn't have dated him, but he refused to give up, he kept following me around like he didn't have anything better to do, then Yemisi insulted him, that day ehn, it was right in my presence and I couldn't even stop her, the look on that boy's face when he left would forever be indented in my mind

I stare at him for a while trying to process the question he just asked me

"Why are you asking about Dieko?" I squint my eyes at him
"Ahan, aren't we friends?"
"Umm, okay o, friends" I repeat
"I don't know what is wrong with you" He laughs "Where's she?"
"She's sitting over there" I point at the table Dieko is sitting on, her eyes are trained on her phone
"Ahan Nmeso, you're half naked too?"
I didn't even notice her presence
"Both of you need to go back and change" He orders, I don't even know if he's serious or joking, his face gives nothing away
"It's a pool party" She rolls her eyes "What are we meant to wear?"
"All those guys will naw be staring"
"Is it your business if they are staring?" I laugh "Please be going"
"If I sha see both of you with any guy ehn..."
"Well done, so you can kiss all the girls in the school but we can't talk to any boy?"
"I'm responsible, that's why" He smirks
"Are you still talking to this one?, Please let's be going" Nmeso drags me away from him
God knows why he was looking for Dieko, I'm so sure it's not because she's his 'friend'
