CELIA BEGAN TO CLEAN OFF THE DINING TABLE. She leaned over table to grab reaching for the condiments that sat at the other side of the table. Javier came up from behind her and pressed himself flush against her ass while give it a gentle squeeze. Celia immediately straightened up and pushed Javier away with a small smile.

"We haven't made burgers in a while." Celia commented to her sister as she moved away from the man she had been sleeping with for the past few months and brought the condiments in her hands back to the fridge.

"You loving mustard is gross." Connie added as she watched her sister close the fridge door and take the lid off the trash bin to take it out.

"Mustard isn't gross. Pickles are gross." Celia argued as she tied the strings of the trash bag together and pulled the bag out of the bin.

Steve nodded in agreement as he looked at his wife who stood beside him. She whacked him with the dish rag she had in her hand playfully as he kept washing the dishes. Celia laughed as she lifted the heavy bag of trash out the bin.

"You got that?" Steve asked as he stopped washing the dish in his hands while him and his wife turned to Celia.

"Steve help her." Connie said as she nudged her husband to give her the dish in his hands.

"No," Celia waved off the couple's concern as she got a better grip on the bag. "I've got it. It's fine."

"I'll help." Javier offered as he walked into the kitchen to grab a rag to clean off the dining table. "You shouldn't be going outside by yourself this late anyways."

"Stop." Celia replied as she looked at Javier who began to approach her to help. "I'm fine, you guys. I got it."

Everyone else in the kitchen remained quiet as Celia moved past them and hauled the bag of trash out the front door. Celia greeted the neighbors as she quickly descended the stairs to take the trash to the sidewalk so the dumpster truck could pick it up in the morning. She welcomed the cool air that the night brought as she made her way to the sidewalk. A family walking into the building greeted her and offered their eldest son to help. Celia waved away their concern like she had done to the trio inside. As she set the bag of trash on the sidewalk and was about to head back inside, one of the younger children of the family who was walking into the apartment building came up to her.

"Me dijo qué hay un coche esperándote en la esquina." The little boy informed Celia.

Before she could even reply he ran off to his mother who was calling him inside. The little boy followed his mom inside without giving Celia another glance. Celia looked at the building a little longer before looking at both corners of the street her apartment was on. Sure enough at the corner to her right was a car waiting, engine running but lights off. Possibilities of who it was ran through her mind, but when Elisa came into her mind, she quickly ignored it. The boy said it was a he. He was waiting for her.
