"Fuck sake, Amaris. Stop!" Rhydian growled as I reached the second floor. I stopped and took a deep breath. "What?" I rasped. "You said you might not be able to give me pups in that letter. Therefore, there's still a chance." He quickly explained himself. I stared at the floor, "Listen," He started as he lifted my chin. "Even if we can't have any pups, I'm ok with that." He whispered. "I'm not." I whimpered. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his chest.

I would love nothing more than to give Rhydian a pup. Have a little mini Rhydian running around... I sniffled and clutched onto Rhydian's shirt. "I'd love that too baby. But, if we can't there's always other options." He soothed as he stroked my hair. I pulled back and frowned at him, "There's a pack orphanage full of pups, who need loving." He smiled at me.

"We could also go see your doctor, find out one way or another if you can." He cautiously explained. I nodded and wiped my eyes. "Sorry, I overreacted when I heard your thoughts," I whispered. He shook his head, "No, you didn't. I should have told you outright." He answered before leaning forward and giving me a quick kiss. "Come on, let's go eat." He grabbed my hand as we continued to the kitchen.

As we entered the kitchen, all eyes turned to us. Lucas and Alex were stood by the kitchen sink, Tristan was sat at the kitchen island with Cory. Cory's face lit up as he saw us. "You're awake!" He exclaimed. He looked at Lucas who nodded. Cory jumped down from his stool and rushed towards us, he wrapped his tiny arms across the front of mine and Rhydian's legs. I chuckled and ruffled his hair. "I missed you." He muttered as he pulled back.

"Sorry, Alpha." He added, bowing his head. Rhydian kneeled in front of him and shook his head. "No need for apologies, Cory. You can hug me all you want and my name is Rhydian." He chuckled. Cory smiled a bright smile at him and wrapped his arms around his neck, Rhydian picked him up and hugged him back. "You're just like Amaris, she doesn't like being called Alpha either." He quipped.

Rhydian placed the cute little pup back on the floor and I gazed at him. Rhydian was right, the pack orphanage is full of pups who need loving. "I need to go because I'm late for a birthday party at the house." He announced before waving at us all and darting his little body out of the kitchen. I sighed and went and sat at the kitchen island.

A full plate of food was put in front of Rhydian and me. I didn't realise how hungry I was until my mouth watered at the sight of pasta bake. I grinned over at Lucas who winked at me. "So, we all heard the scream and the shatter of glass... What happened?" Tristan asked. I choked on the mouthful I was eating and coughed violently. "Um, well... We, um..." I stammered with what to say. Tristan glanced between us both before he turned pale and shook his head. "Ok. I don't need to hear anything else." He shivered, shaking his whole body.

I chuckled awkwardly and carried on eating. "I think maybe it's her power. She's screamed once before when she shattered the shower, that could have been her Dark Wolf powering through." Rhydian voiced his theory. I continued eating and didn't involve myself in the conversation, I'm enjoying stuffing my face with this food too much.

"There is one way to test that theory." Alex piped up. I glanced at him with the fork paused in my mouth. I hurriedly chewed my food and swallowed. "I'm not screaming now, I could do some serious damage if what Rhydian says is true." I rolled my eyes. "No..." He chuckled, "We go into the forest, away from houses and anybody and test you. See what you can and can't do." He stated.

"See if you have the gift I have." He smirked. I chuckled and nodded. "That sounds good." I agreed. "But first we have to tell you what we've found out," Lucas commented, taking a seat next to his dad. I nodded as they filled me in on everything Elder Rick said and the diary about Imran.

"Wow." I breathed. "I can't believe someone from my family was an anchor for a Dark Wolf." Rhydian chuckled. "Makes sense though. You're my anchor and Amaris's mate." Alex grinned. "So, now what? Like what do we do?" I questioned, looking around. "Now, we live our life." Alex smiled and reached his hand out for mine. "We missed so much been apart, we can finally be together and catch up on the lost time." He added, tears forming in his eyes. I smiled and nodded.

"Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Alex you go with Amaris for her powers... I need Rhydian to start being the Alpha again. I don't want to do that again," He rolled his eyes. I chuckled and glanced at Rhydian. He had a serious look on his face. "What's up?" I linked with him. "I don't want to be away from you." He whined through the link. I stifled a giggle and linked our fingers together, resting my head on his shoulder.

"You get an hour tops, Lucas." I stated, "Then I'm coming back to Rhydian." I added. Lucas grinned and clapped his hands happily, "I can deal with that." He chuckled. We all stood up, I planted my lips firmly over Rhydian's and gave him a quick but loving kiss. "Don't stay away too long, mate." He growled through the link. I chuckled against his lips and nipped his lip with my teeth. "I'll see you soon babe." I smiled. His eyes darkened before he grunted and moved around me to follow Lucas out of the kitchen.

I looked back at Tristan who was staring at me strangely. "What?" I asked, furrowing my brows at him. "Nothing, it's just nice to see." He replied smiling before walking out of the kitchen. I turned to Alex who had a smile on his face too. "I know I wasn't here when everything happened to you but I've been told the change in you is drastic." He took a deep breath before coming towards me. "I know it might not mean much because I haven't been here but... I'm proud of you, Sis." He expressed wrapping his arms around my head and crushing me against his body.

I inhaled his scent and let the nostalgic, familiar feeling wash over me. "I have missed you." I sighed into his embrace. "Me too, me too." He replied. "Now, come on let's go see what kick-ass power you have." He smirked as he pulled me towards the door.
