"Are you ready to see your room?" I excitedly asked Cory. I couldn't contain my excitement, the pack has done an amazing job with his bedroom. I just hope he likes it! He nodded his head eagerly. Rhydian pushed open the door and Cory stepped in. His eyes went wide as he looked around his new room.

The wall opposite was painted navy blue and Rhydian, who I didn't know could draw, had drawn a large cloud on the left side with hand-drawn stars dotted around, there was a smaller cloud drawn on the right side. In the centre of the wall, there was a huge full moon, shining bright. I was in complete awe as I gazed at the wall. His bed was in the middle of the wall with a black bed cover with tiny stars all over it, his pillow was black with a full moon in the middle. He had two bedside tables on either side of his bed with a moon lamp on the ride side and a photo frame containing a family photo of Cory and his parents.

There was a black wardrobe with little moon handles on the right side of the room, the drawers on the left side of the room matched the wardrobe. His carpet was dark grey and felt so fluffy, I couldn't wait to walk on it without shoes. He had so many toys in boxes all around his room. His ceiling was painted white with glow in the dark stars scattered on his ceiling.

Rhydian went over to the window that was above the drawers and pulled the blinds, closing them. He came back over to us and lifted Cory, "Turn the light off," He smirked. He glanced at me and I shut the door. Cory flicked the light off and his ceiling lit up like the night sky. The stars were twinkling. The light had a moon lampshade around it, which was also glowing in the dark. Cory was speechless, his little mouth was trying to speak but he couldn't or didn't know what to say.

"Do you like it?" I asked, stepping closer to them both. He glanced at me and nodded his head in slow motion. "I'm so glad you like it." I smiled and cuddled into Rhydian's side. "Welcome home, Cory." Rhydian chirped.

"Do you think he'll be happy here with us?" I questioned, looking over at Rhydian. We were sat in the kitchen while Cory unpacked all his things, we offered our help but he wanted to do it on his own. Rhydian nodded and smiled at me, "Of course he will." He reassured. "Did you see his little face when he saw you outside of the house?" He chuckled. I nodded and smiled, "I did." I sighed, resting my elbow on the table with my chin rested on my hand. "What is it, love?" He asked. I took a deep breath and sighed again, "The news we got this morning doesn't hurt anymore." I whispered. He nodded and sighed, "That's because you knew deep down you couldn't... You didn't get your hopes up." He answered.

"Does it... Does it hurt you?" I asked, my voice cracking slightly. He took a deep breath and reached his hand over and linked our fingers. "I'm not going to lie to you... Yes, it hurts a little." He admitted, "But, not as much as losing you would." He added. "I'm not going anywhere," I blurted out. He chuckled and nodded, "I know you're not." He stood up and walked around the table, stopping behind me.

He pulled my back into his chest as he hovered over me. "I think it also doesn't hurt because we have a pup upstairs who we love as our own... Today wouldn't have changed how either of us feels for Cory. There's been an instant connection to Cory ever since we met him." He muttered into my hair. "They transferred back to our pack 2 weeks before you came home. I sat in the meeting with your dad, as soon as I laid eyes on Cory I knew something was there but I didn't know what so I brushed it aside." He explained, "I used to see him sometimes around the packhouse but he was really shy, he used to run away every time he saw me." He chuckled.

"That day at breakfast was the first time he'd ever spoken to me. I knew his name but I wanted him to feel comfortable with me." He continued. "It's funny how fate turns out, isn't it?" I giggled. "I was so angry and afraid all the time when I first came back... I never imagined my life turning out like this." I breathed.

He turned me around to face him and smiled down at me, "Yeah... Who would have thought that angry snarling wolf would turn out to be the love of my life?" He smirked. I chuckled and pushed him back as I stood up. "Um, your scent made me angry." I retorted. He gasped dramatically, "And here I thought my scent made you feel other things," He whispered. "Exactly my point." I returned with a smirk. He chuckled and winked at me.

"I meant to ask, why didn't you come round that night after your meeting?" I asked. Rhydian leaned against the table and sighed, "The meeting ran longer than I expected it to. I tried mind-linking you but couldn't get through. I didn't want to wake you so I just went to bed." He explained. I nodded and smiled at him.

"Anyway, everything you said earlier about being Alpha... We need to have the Luna ceremony and let the pack know officially." I mentioned, keeping one eye on him while I moved the cups from the table. "And who's ceremony would it be?" He asked cautiously. I placed the cups in the sink and bit back a giggle. I turned to him and placed my hand on my hip, "Don't you think... Luna Amaris has a nice ring to it?" I smirked. I haven't changed my mind about wanting to be the Alpha, that's still not what I want... Being his Luna, now, that is what I want.

"Really? You'll be my Luna?" He asked, shocked. I nodded and stepped towards him. I held my hand over his heart and gazed up at him, "I've always been your Luna, Rhydian." I expressed.
