Aliasha was in deep sleep when there was a thump on her room's door. Groaning she opened the door and appear face to face with her mother.

"Maa aap itni subah subah" She asked, still in a half asleep situation.

(Mom, you here...this early in the morning?)

"Zaraa ghadi Dekho madam 11 baj rhe h" taunted her mother.

(Look at the clock, it's 11AM)

"Ohh" she gave a sheepish look after glancing at her room's clock.

"Meera ka phone aaya tha. Unka vaha aaj dinner par jaanae." Her mother informed.

(Meera called. She called us on dinner today.)

"Par maa aaj to meri meeting hai " Aliasha proclaimed wanting to delay it.

(But Maa, I have a meeting today)

"Nhi koi bahana ni chalega. Tujhe pta nahi hai vo tujhe kitna yaad karti thi. Aur Kabir bhi to aa rhae uski fiancee ke saath." Her mother asserted.

(No excuses. You have no idea how much she has missed you. Even Kabir is coming with his fiancee)

Vahi to problem hai maa, she whispered.

(That's what the problem is maa)

Thankfully, her mother didn't hear it.

"Kaam zaroori hai par rishte bhi utne hi zaroori h" ,explained her mother.

(Work is important but relations are equally important too.)

"Okay Maa. I'll come." She said finally giving up.

"Good. 7 baje ghar par aa jana. 8 baje pahochna h" her mother announced, moving towards the door to leave.

(Come home at 7 pm. We have to reach there at 8)

"Yes ma'am," she said mock saluting her.

She doesn't know how to feel about the dinner. When it comes to Kabir she always has mixed feelings.

She is also going to meet Natasha today too. She has only had one or three very small conversations with her before. though that was 9 years ago.

Instead of overthinking, she decided to get ready for the day.

It was 6 in the evening when she got free from her meeting. She decided to rush home and leave early for Singhania's mansion not forgetting about the brownies and some cookies made by her which she knows the Singhania clan loves.

She along with her parents reached the mansion and rang the doorbell.

The door was opened by a very chirpy Aishwariya. Who on seeing them, shrieked and took Aliasha in a very tight hug.

"Let them come inside beta (child)," exclaimed, Aishwariya's father, Vijay.

As they step inside. Everyone's attention turns toward a loud, happy voice that came from the kitchen.

"Aagyi meri beti," Meera squealed. Sprinting and embracing Aliasha.

(My child is here)

"Haaye kitni pyaari lag rahi h. Agar Kabir single hota to mai to uski shaadi tujhse hi karati." Said meera adoring Aliasha in traditional clothes.

(You are looking so pretty. If Kabir was single, I would have got you both married)

After listening this Aliasha stiffened. Oh how she wishes that was the case too.

"Lo hogyi maa parayi" commented Karan breaking her chain of thoughts.

(See, mom has become stranger now)

"Abhi Kabir bhaiya ko aane do. Phir to hume pehchanengi bhi nhi." Aishwariya jested.

(Let Kabir bhaiya come, she wouldn't even recognize us then.)

"Tum log to roz mere sir par bethe rahte hai. Yeh dono mere bache kitne saalon baad apni maa se mile h" Meera let out.

(You guys are there to trouble me everyday. They both are here after so long.)

" Koi kadar nhi hai humari" Karan wiped his tears dramatically.

(Nobody cares for us.)

"Unlogon ko khade rkhne ka iraada h ya baithne bhi dena hai " Vijay said.

(Do you have plan to keep them standing? Let them sit.)

"Arrey haa. Sorry. Aao betho sab." Meera replied, directing them towards the hall.

(Let's sit.)

After they settled, Aliasha allotted brownies and cookies to Aishwariya.

"Di you've no idea how much we have missed your baking". Aishwarjya let out, Popping a cookie in her mouth.

The conversations continued and after some time the doorbell chimed and Karan rose to open the door.

Aliasha strengthened as she knew who it was. It was them. Kabir and Natasha. The love of her life with his fiancee.
