You were sitting at the squad table with cap and tonny laughing about how they were playing with kids blocks then we get a call
Engine 51, truck 81, squad 3 House fire
You get up quickly and jog to squad and put all your gear on and jump in next to cruz
You get there and you see it's a bad 3 story house fire with neighbours looking out they're windows, you all jump out quickly and you walk to one of the neighbours who were standing outside they're house " hey, do you know how many people are in there " You say to them as you walk up " we don't know, they moved in not to long ago " the man says and you nod before running back over to chief
" squad get in there quick, look around and get back out " you all nod before putting on the masks and running in
You get in and you go up the stairs quickly then to the 3rd floor, you see it has 3 rooms so you go to the furthest room and look inside " CFD anyone here " You scream as you walk in, you look for a few seconds and down see anything so you wall out to the next room to see no one again then go to the 3rd room and see no one so you where on your way down the stairs when you bump into severide " we found everyone, we need to get out now " He says loud so you would hear and you nod then he quickly runs down and you start to follow then you hear a faint cry
You quickly turn around and fallow the cry and it was in the 3rd room so you walk in and you walk back to the back of the room to see a small crib in to corner you hadn't seen, you walk over quickly and see a small baby maybe 2 weeks old, your eyes widen then you grad him quickly and tuck him in your coat as you walk out then you hear cheif on the radio " Ava where to hell are you, it's going to blow " He says annoyed then you run down the stairs quickly then try to run out the door but it closes you sigh as your air starts running out and you start inhaling smoke, you look down at the crying baby then kick the door open and run out right before it blows
You fall on the grass as the paramedics run over and you hand them the baby, you fall down and take your mask off quickly coughing from the smoke then severide and boden walk over and cheif nods at you then you look at severide still coughing, " what the hell was that, you were meant to stay behind me " He says angrily, you weren't surprised that he was mad because in the last week let's just say that you guys haven't been getting along, you don't think he's still loving the idea of a girl on squad
You sigh then Brett comes and hands you a water " nice job " she smiles at you and you nod still with a bit of a cough " you going to be OK " cheif asks and you nod " yeah I should be OK " You smile softly
Then Casey comes over and helps you up " thanks " you smile still with a small cough, you walk over to the Ambo " He going to be OK " You smile Brett nods " yeah he should be fine " she says then you walk off to squad and get in
You walk into the bonk room and ly on your bed closing your eye when you hear someone walk in " want to tell me what happened " severide asks walking over, you move your legs to let him sit down " I was walking down behind you when I heard crying, what was I meant to do leave" You say " You were meant to just tell me or cheif " He says, you nod then he walks off
You end up falling asleep, a while later someone wakes you up " hey, you hungry. We're about to have dinner " You look up to see Gallo, you nod then get up and walk out after him in to the kitchen to see everyone eating, you look to see gallo made you a plate and left it next to him and Ritter, you had really gotten to know ritter and gallo. You smile at him then sit next to them and start eating and you laugh at something Ritter says, " You going to molly's later " He smiles at you " yeah maybe " you smile
You all finish eating and you, gallo and Ritter are all cleaning up, after you go and sit at the table on your phone intill the end of shift
You drive home then you text Stella

You smile at your phone then go in the shower then get dressed

You smile to yourself in the mirror before running down Stairs thenout to your car then drive to to molly's
You walk in and walk to the bar " same as always " Herrmann says as you walk up " yes please " You smile and he hands it to you and you leave money on the bar then you walk to the table where squad was " hey, guys" you smile sitting next to cruz and capp " aww if it isn't our favourite female squad member " capp says and smiles at you. You've been getting along with everyone in squad but really severide.
You all stay there talking for most of the night, well but severide he left early with Stella. " hey, guys when did severide actually start liking you guys " you say after a few drinks " I don't know, he always just liked us " Tony says as thay all look at each other " Oh great, he'll probably never like me " You laugh " no he will " cruz says then you all start laughing again
