Ava Halstead just came back from 2 years as a Marine and is going to firehouse 51 on squad 3 but isn't on the best terms with her brothers because of them not wanting her to be a Marine but she didn't care, she's a lot more like her twin brother Jay...
Severide comes out soon after and walks straight to cheif and says something then cheif looks back to you " Halstead, come here " He says and you slightly nod then get up and walk over
" so you both think it was arson" He says and severide looks at you confused and you just nod " why" cheif asks and and severide looks at you to answer " there's barker burnt dots around the kitchen, it looks like something was thrown around and then it just started up " you pause " I don't know exactly were the fire started but it looks like it was a bunch of little fires to start with then just blasted. Then the person or people how started it got time to get out " you sigh and look up at them " if what we seen was right it'll be almost impossible to prove" you slightly smile
" ok well Engine just went in so after they're done squad can stay and have a look around then if you still think it's arson, report it " He says nodding to severide Then you both nod as he walks off
" so when did you learn so much about fire and arson " severide says as you both walk over to the squad truck " just here and there, I didn't really have to learn anything about for the military but I knew at some point I'd come back to being a firefighter and it would be a good thing to know about so I just kept studying about it" You say then cruz hands you other water and you sit on step of the squad truck
After engine finished up you qnd severide go straight to the kitchen and look around
Severide scratched a bit of the wall with his knife and smelled it " yeah, we were right someone started this " He says and you walk over to smell it " God that's strong " you say and wip you nose from the smell of gas that started the fire
" I'm just gonna call it In to OFI, go get the others out to squad and tell them not to touch anything on the way out " he says getting his phone out of his pocket and you nod walking out of the kitchen
" hey guys let's start heading out " you say as you find them Then you all walk out then wait for severide to finish up
He walks out soon after " hey Tony start it up, let's head out " he says geting in and you guys fallowing
You guys get to the 51 soon after and you go to to kitchen to see a few people " hey guys " you say as you walk in and go to the fridge to see left over pizza and take a slice before siting at the table but just going on your phone
It was now the end of shift and you walk to cheifs office, you slightly knock on the door and he looks up " Halstead, what can I do for you " He says and you walk in " next shift I'll be late coming in" You pause " personal business, but I'll be in at some point" you say and he nods " that's fine, take care of yourself, Halstead" He says and you nod " you too, chief " you smile before leaving and going home
You get home to see a text from Jay
Jay 🤍 You going Molly's ?
Me Yeah, maybe
Jay 🤍 Ok I'll see you there
You sigh then put your phone on your kitchen counter then you get grab a water before running upstairs and getting ready

You smile to yourself before going downstairs
You clean up a bit before leaving for molly's
You walk in and the first person you see is Jay " Avs " He says as you walk in and you smile then sit next to him " hey, jay " You smile again and Herrmann comes " beer " He asks and you nod hand in him money then he hands you a beer " thanks Herrmann" you smile then turn back to Jay
" so how's life " you joke and Jay slightly laughs " hey, I heard about Asher" He says looking at you " I'm fine, really " You say with a soft smile then take a small sip from your beer, " when's the funeral " He says " tomorrow, I'm going to just stop by to see everyone then ill be going to work" You say and he nods " do you want me to come with you " He says " no, that's OK. I'll be fine " You say with a small smile " ok, ok just talk to me if you need anything"he pauses " your my sister, I love you " He smiles and you feel tears forming in you eyes as he hugs you " I love you too" You smile into his shoulder and a few tears falling
He pulls away and rests his hands on your shoulder looking at you " call me day or night, I'll be there" He slightly smiles and you nod " I know " you say then hug him quickly
You wip a few tears away before smiling " I'm just gonna go to the bathroom, I'll be 2 minutes " You say and he nods
You come out to see jay talking the casay, Brett and a few other people
You walk over and sit next to Jay " hey, guys " you smiles then join there conversation
It was getting late so you go home and go to bed soon after
You wake up then next morning and get ready for the funeral

After the funeral you go straight to the fire house
When you get there you see they're out on a call so you walk to your locker to get changed
As everyone starts coming in you were tying your hair in to two braids " hey guys " you smile then Stella walks over to you " how was it " she says " Yeah, it was nice and just seeing his family and friends" you smile and she nods
" so what call did you guys get " you ask " Oh just a car accident, nothing serious " she says and you nod then she walks off
The rest of shift wasn't busy, only one call and you end up going home and to bed
