Ava Halstead just came back from 2 years as a Marine and is going to firehouse 51 on squad 3 but isn't on the best terms with her brothers because of them not wanting her to be a Marine but she didn't care, she's a lot more like her twin brother Jay...
You wake up yet again feeling sick but you roll over and see gallo and smile
You look at your phone to see you woke up early but get up anyway and have a shower trying to feel better
You get out and see gallo gone but look at the bed to see a note

Sorry I had to go, good morning and I'll see you at shift later, I love u lots

You smile at it and end up starting crying
You don't even know why but you cry there for a good 5 minutes just looking at the note and end up start laughing at yourself for crying
After that you just get ready and leave for shift a bit early
You get there there and see almost everyone and you just go in and sit at the squad table
A few minutes later you guys get a call to a fire and leave quickly
You guys get there and see it's a fire in a big church with dozens of people
Squad gets in there quickly and starts getting the people who can still walk out
You guys get almost everyone out and it's only you, severide and Casey left but they're walking out with the last person " Halstead let's go" severide says but you put up your hand
" you guys go, give me a minute I think I hear something" you say looking at all the chairs " be quick" they say and you nod looking through them faster
You get to one in the middle and see a small gap and see a little boy maybe 8 years old
" hey hey it's ok, we got to get you out of here" you say picking him up quickly and running out of the church
" hey! I don't know if he's breathing" you say pleasing him on the floor and staring cpr
Brett and violet comes over quick and helps you out as you do compressions on the small boy
After maybe a minute he starts slightly coughing and opens his eyes and Brett gives him an oxygen mask as they take him to the ambo
You sit on the grass before someone throws you a water
" nice job" gallo says and you nod with water still in your mouth
After the waters out you all go in for a look around
" hey Ava where did you find the boy" he asks and you bring him over " he was lying there" you say and point at it before walking up a bit further
The next thing one of the priests come in and Herman, severide and Casey talks to him as you and the others continue to look around
Herman ends up finding a dead cat which you didn't like the look off
When you guys get back to the firehouse gallo offers to make you breakfast " honestly I love your coking but I will probably get sick if I eat your breakfast" you say with a smile " you sure you haven't eaten anything" he asks and you nod " yes thank you though" you smile
But the next thing you know Cruz jumps up " he's coming" every looks at him " the baby's coming" he says and everyone gets up and Casey takes everything out of Service and you guys all leave soon
Tony drives out and you smile at Cruz " you exited Cruz" you say with a big smile " yeah, yeah I am " he says " good" you say and sit back
You and him where the first ones in and he goes in to see her and you all wait out side in the waiting area
You guys get to see baby Otis after 5 hours of sitting in the waiting room before the nurse practically pushes all of you out the door after seeing him
You guys end up going back to shift but get no more calls
After work you go home and get ready for Mollys

You walk in to Mollys and go out side and see gallo with Ritter and violet but you walk over to severide and Casey
" can I get you guys a drink" you ask and Casey shacks his head before leaving with Brett " yeah if you don't mind running a bit low" severide says shaking the small bit of beer left in it
You walk over to the bar and get him a beer but as you walk over he's talking to a man but calls you over
" hey Ava you know in the fire today did you see that cat" he says and you nod before handing him the drink " yeah I did that was definitely unusual" you say and the man looks at you " Ava Halstead" you say and shake his head and he just looks at severide " she knows her way around arson" he says and he nods " Ava this is the Head of fire investigation and that cat today had gases in it"severide says before looking up at the man and he explains what he found
After that he kept talking to severide and you go over to gallo and sit down
" did you eat today" he asks seriously " yeah I did just was feeling good in the morning" you say with a smile
Not long after you go home and to bed
Next shift
Casey was leaving and ambo gets called out so you and everyone else go out to say bye to him
Boden who's Office is now in 51 has a speech ready for saying bye to him which honestly almost made you cry and you all had a group hug at the end before he leaves and you all wave him off
