I didn't realize how nerve wrecking all of this was until our plane was landing.

We were safe in the plane, since nobody could infiltrate while we were in the sky.

Once we landed it was fair game.

I tried not to think about it since I was supposed to be less stressed.

I was going to be relived once we had our appointment to check on the baby. Living with the fear that our baby wasn't okay was making my heart ache.

The thought of losing another baby made my heart ache worse though.

"How do we wanna do this?" Jake asked as Colby grabbed our bags. "Uber to our house. We have two cars." Colby said and looked at me. "You doing okay?" He asked as I nodded.

"Keep me updated on that." He said quietly then took my hand and led the way off of the plane. It was sweet that he was constantly checking on me but I was far from okay.

My mind was racing, thinking of who I possibly could have crossed. I didn't remember killing anyone that seemed to be in great power.

Not someone who would cause Colby to be so freaked out.

The four of us ordered an Uber to our house then made our way there. I had to admit that I was excited to see the house since it's been a long time since we've been here.

Our little oasis away from the crime world.

It broke my heart that we wouldn't have this safe space again. Even if we got through all of these obstacles, we wouldn't be able to come back here.

We especially couldn't raise our baby here.

"Home sweet home." Colby mumbled as we pulled up to the familiar house. "Thanks for the ride." Corey said to the Uber driver as we all got out of the car. "Any time." The lady said as the guys grabbed all of our bags.

"Corey, wait out here with Julia. I want to do a sweep of the house." Colby said as my heart jolted. If someone was here I would have been absolutely terrified.

"Yeah, man. That's a good idea." Corey said as Colby turned to me. "I'll be right back." He said as I shook my head.

"Don't go." I said and took his hand. "I'll be okay, sweetheart. I'm just gonna check to be sure." He said and took my face in his hands.

"I'll be five minutes." He said then kissed my forehead gently. "Let's go." He said to Jake then pulled his gun and went to go inside.

"Who did I kill?" I asked, looking at Corey. "What?" He asked with confusion, keeping his hand on his gun in case something happened.

"Who is after me?" I asked with a serious tone. "I genuinely don't know, Jules. Colby is keeping everything really quiet for your safety." He explained as I picked at my nails.

"The less people he talks to about it the less likely that anyone suspicious will catch on that he knows." He said as I nodded.

It made sense, but I wasn't happy that I wasn't going to get any more information about it right now.

"Alright. We're all clear." Colby said after a couple of minutes. "Come on, darling." He said and held his hand out to me. I sighed and took his hand, letting him lead me inside.

"You guys can stay in the guest rooms downstairs. Make yourself at home." Colby said as he led me towards the stairs.

"Alright, don't be too loud up there ya crazy kids." Jake said as Colby chuckled. "Fuck off." He said as I shook my head.

It was comforting that they had kinda called into the rhythm of acting normal.

The anxiety and uncertainty from before had kinda melted away giving a sense of normalcy.
