I knock on Maya's door. I've learned what I will become. I've learned what I will do. I've seen what I truly am. I'm a monster. What I will become... is monstrous. What I will do... is terrifying. I have to leave. I can't hurt them. I can't hurt anyone. I can't... I can't... I can't have her near me.
She opens the door and smiles at me. I look at her. I push in. It feels like I'm holding up the sky. It seems like I'm up against the world. This burden... it chokes me. I'm terrified of what I will become. I feel the darkness chocking me. Rising up in me. I feel it wrapping it's clutches around me.
"Hi. What's wrong?" She asks.
"I've been thinking." I say.
"About? Don't leave me in the dark." She says.
"I'm done with this." I say.
"Done with what? The palace. Yeah, been there. This place is like a maze." She says.
"No. This..." I point at her and me.
"Wait, what are you saying?" Her eyes widen.
"I'm ending this." I say.
